Anti-Aging? | THE FACE SHOP Yehwadam Revitalizing Range

28.2.17

The Face Shop Yehwadam Revitalizing Line

Anti-aging skincare ranges is something that I have learnt to appreciate ever since I hit my mid 20s, and if you have been following up on our Instagram Page, you would know that I have giving a good go at The Face Shop's Yehwadam Revitalizing line that recently came into The Face Shop stores.

NYX Cosmetics | Cosmic Metals Lip Cream

27.2.17

Wearing NYX Cosmic Metals Lip Cream in Out of this World and Electromagnetic

Call me intrigued, but I have always been very tempted by metallic hues and dark shades. After all, the bigger, the bolder, the better! So when this new line from NYX became exclusively online on Hermo during the Christmas season, I took a chance and nabbed 6 out of the 7 colors available (there are 12 shades in total globally) and gave them each a good swatch.

The Cure to Melanin Overproduction? | Clarins White Plus Pure Translucency

24.2.17

On the Clarins White Plus Range

Ever since I hit my third trimester, there have been some visible changes to the skin. Now I have mentioned about my adjustment to it in several article posts before, and even though it wasn't really severe, getting use to these changes took time.

Percy & Reed Radiance Revealing Invisible Dry Shampoo | The Solution to Oily Strands

23.2.17

On Percy & Reed

Now many of you have heard about Percy & Reed and while we have first debuted their products back in 2015 on this website, their range never cease to amaze me. A couple of weeks back I have been on a lookout (okay that is an understatement - it was more like a hunting farce actually) on dry shampoos for my confinement, and going through products like Batiste, Morrocan Oil and more, I couldn't find one that I really took a liking to.

Maybelline the Falsies Push Up Drama Waterproof Mascara

22.2.17

On Mascara Application

Drugstore mascaras are never usually my forte but I have to sit down and talk to you all about the Maybelline Volum'Express The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara, because this is one winning formula that did not let me down.

How Does it Fare? | Marc Jacobs Under Cover Perfecting Coconut Face Primer

21.2.17

For Glowing Skin | Prep & Prime

Ever since Marc Jacobs released their Under Cover Perfecting Coconut Face Primer, we have heard nothing but good things on it. Having a rather in-depth discussion with some good friends in the beauty industry, it was noted that this was because many who have invested in it, appreciated its nutrient-rich formula that improves the skin's texture, as well as the product having a strong vitamin barrier that holds a good balance between the skin's natural layer and makeup.

Stain No More | KOSÉ Lip Gel Magic

20.2.17

The arrival of the Lip Gel Magic

Now we have heard a lot about the KOSÉ Lip Gel Magic buzzing all over the internet and as amazing as its results seem to be, its time to put it to the test and give it a whirl. So the first thing that you would need to know about this particular product is that the KOSÉ Lip Gel Magic is a lipstick coating gel.

The Perfect Summer Blush | Sleek MakeUP Blush by 3 in Lace

17.2.17

Blush by 3 in Lace

Warm tone blush palettes are one of my absolute favorites, and this trio named 'Lace' right here from Sleek MakeUP, is extremely complimentary to many skin tones. One of the reasons why I absolutely adore working with this set is not only because its color payoff is very pigmented, but also because it sets an amazing undertone to the skin, which goes very well with deep golden bronzer that is perfect for Summer too.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder | A Cult Favorite?

16.2.17

On one of Laura Mercier's Best Sellers

Having used the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder for more than 2 years now, I can safely say that this is one of my favorite go-to setting powders that I have ever had the pleasure of encountering.

This might come off sounding a little bias I know, but having dealt with many setting powders in the past that often leave a white cast on the face (especially in photographs), it is quite a relief to see one that works so well, not only on camera but also in person.

Beter Make Up Brushes | SaSa

15.2.17

The Kit Set

I am not completely unfamiliar with Beter's Professional Makeup Brushes, but for those of you who do not know much about the brand, these cosmetic brushes from Spain have a pretty vast range and are great to use on an everyday basis.

Instant glow in a two weeks? | Nano White

14.2.17

Time to achieve radiance

I often get quite skeptical when it comes to whitening products, but this is because they often cause breakouts on the skin due to certain ingredients (like mineral oil, petroleum, silicone, etc) within. Best not to get me wrong though, for achieving radiance is a completely separate level for me and with the whole Korean trend about having porcelain like skin, the demand does seems to be there for products like these to peacefully coexist in the beauty industry.

ZA Autumn/Winter 2016

13.2.17

It has been awhile since we have done a full faced makeup look using just one brand, and even though this entire collection from ZA Cosmetics was released back in December 2016, the launch of the whole line was just too lovely to pass up.

Otterbox iPhone 7 | Strada Series Folio Case & Commuter Series

10.2.17

If there is anything that we have learnt about Otterbox over the time that we have begun using their iPhone cases, is that the brand is an extremely reliable one.

After all, crafting out multiple series that focuses on drop protection is not easy, but giving optimal performance together with a specific style suited to its user is a different matter, for it takes a issue of forward thinking any given day.

Murad | Invisiblur Perfecting Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 30

9.2.17

On Murad's Invisiblur Perfecting Shield Broad Spectrum SPF30

I was first introduced to the Invisiblur Perfecting Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 30 in December last year, and from its description, it states that the product is a power pack fusion combining a primer, moisturizer and sun protection all into one.

Benefit Cosmetics Pore Minimizing Makeup

8.2.17

On trying Benefit Cosmetics Pore Minimizing Makeup

A common issue that most of us go through when living in Asian countries is that the pores on our faces are aplenty. This is completely normal though because of our hot climate, the change in humidity and other environmental factors; but at the end of it, it is basically due to factors that are beyond our control.

CURE Natural Aqua Gel | A Skincare Must Have?

7.2.17

On Skincare Discoveries

Having a good sit down with some friends a couple of weeks back, a new product discovery came to light after an enthusiastic exchange of beauty conversations between my peers.

You might recall sometime last year in December, there was an introductory to CURE's Water Treatment Skin Cream where we did some product testing on it, as well as its best selling Aqua Gel (IG Stories: @penmyblog), and even though on first impression both products were really good, we didn't really get to its in-depth benefits as much as I would have liked.

Yes or No? | Make Up For Ever Artist Acrylip x Jessie J

6.2.17

I have been a huge fan of pigments and bold colors from a really young age, so it is not surprisingly that whenever a brand does a combination of the two well, I am immediately pulled in.

Make Up For Ever has been one of those artistry beauty brands that I have come to love over the years, and seeing that their products are crafted well for stage makeup, it means that their range has more lasting power, vividness and is made for a more comfortable wear.

Miseenscéne Power Swing M9 Hair Wax | A Strong Hold?

3.2.17

For Men's Styling

Hair styling is the one thing that men find important. The right product for a certain type of look is essential to making a look work.
Miseenscéne Power Swing M9 hair wax is a South Korean brand that is versatile and is capable of achieving challenging styles. It is a matte style hard wax with a hold/hardness level of 9 and shine rating of zero.

Witch's Pouch Real Skin Moisture Ampoule Base

2.2.17

The Real Skin Moisture Ampoule Base

Here is a little something to start our February. Last month, we came across a well raved K-beauty item from Althea called the Witch's Pouch Real Skin Moisture Ampoule Base, and with its flecks of gold and luxurious packaging, we were tempted.  So enticed in fact that we went ahead and made a purchase out of it.

Yay or Nay? | Shiseido Ibuki Smart Filtering Smoother

1.2.17

On Shiseido's latest

You know how it is when we come across new products that just revolutionize your skincare routine? Well, in terms of that, the latest launch of Shiseido's Ibuki Smart Filtering Smoother takes the cake.

Discovering the product a couple of days ago, the claim for the Smart Filtering Smoother is that it improves shine and visible pores instantly. From we can tell you, this skincare item acts like a serum, with a finishing touch that creates photo-ready skin.
