Physicians Formula Expands its Murumuru Butter Collection

Having been created in 1937 by Dr. Crandall, a leading allergist in LA for his wife who had sensitive skin, Physicians Formula is now known as the first fragrance free and dermatologist-tested makeup brand, that has a commitment to product purity and quality. Free of over 500+ known skin irritants, the brand also became a part of the Markwins Beauty Brand in 2012, which is a global leader in color cosmetics, cosmetics accessories and beauty collections.

As for this week, Physicians Formula thus expands its fan favourite Butter Collection, hence introducing its 2 essential eyeshadow palettes in Tropical Days and Sultry Nights, as well as their Butter Lip Creams in SPF15. As for the palettes, each of these features twelve universally flattering eyeshadow shades in both matte and shimmer finishes while for the lipsticks has 6 shades in colours of Soaking Up The Sun, Flamingo Pink, Guava Mama, Samba Red, Carnival and Brazilian Nut.

The Murumuru Butter Collection

Now following the footsteps of its best-selling Butter Bronzer, the palettes are formulated with an incredible creamy and blendable texture; one that is specially infused with natural exotic butter ingredients from the Amazon while managing to deliver good skin benefits at the same time. As always, full breakdown will be listed below for easier reference.

Physicians Formula Tropical Days and Sultry Nights Palettes:

  • Key Ingredients: Moisturizing Tucuma Butter, Cupuaçu Butter, Murumuru Butter Blend & Conditioning Essential Fatty Acids
  • Pros & Cons: Sultry Nights has good pigmentation and the color story is very well done. However each of the textures can be quite different from one another (this applies more towards the metallics), so do take note of that. Tropical Days is very blendable but has a little kickback when applied on the lids. Application can be done both wet and dry.
  • Price Point: RM89.90

As for the lipsticks, each colour features the brand's exclusive good for skin Butter Blend, which is richly moisturising with a lush, cushiony finish. All 6 shades have a glossy, lightweight formula that nurtures and conditions dry and cracked lips with the added sun protection, and as always we have also listed down its further description and breakdown below for easier reference as well.

Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Lip Cream SPF15

  • Shades: Soaking Up The Sun, Flamingo Pink, Guava Mama, Samba Red, Carnival, Brazilian Nut
  • Key Ingredients: Moisturizing Tucuma Butter, Cupuaçu Butter, Murumuru Butter Blend & Conditioning Essential Fatty Acids
  • Pros: The lipstick is conditioning, very moisturizing, wears well (up to 5 hours with no touch up, with the exception of oily food), has SPF as well as having a soft & buttery consistency.
  • Cons: Now the lipstick itself is a little thick in size and width, so getting precision on direct application might be tricky. Do go in with a lipliner as well as it does bleed a little bit. Formulation is on point but because the texture is really soft, try not to apply too much pressure upon application or it might break off. Packaging wise is good, but do not turn it up the whole way as it would be difficult to get the lipstick bullet to go back down.
  • Price Point: RM39.90 each

Now the Murumuru Butter Collection has already made available in stores and online on Watsons, so definitely check it out. In the meantime, for further details and updates you can head on over to Physician's Formula Official Site as well.
