Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil Review

The Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil has recently taken the beauty world by storm, and this was not the first time that it has done that for its Liquid Soft Pinch Blush did the exact same thing upon its release as well. 

Nonetheless, with the brand constantly hitting its mark on product formulation, shade ranges, solid pigmentation and more, it comes to no surprise that its latest innovation which is its Soft Pinch Lip Oil has already received raved reviews, and thus is being very much discussed till this day.

Now the first thing that you would need to know about the Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil, is that it has a brand new formula; one which has very much to live up to to its predecessor.  The consistency for this was also primarily focused on making a weightless formulation with strong color payoff, but with a long staying hydrating formulation that would not require reapplication for an all day wear.

Available on Sephora Malaysia, the Soft Pinch Lip Oil retails at RM100 and comes in an array of 8 shades. Understandably most of the shades are already sold out but we did manage to get 2 units which were in Hope (swatched on the left) and Delight (swatched on the right).

Thus having made a first impression on TikTok which you can view here, one thing that we have noted about the two is that the formulation is quite far from the standard lip oil for this consistency is much closer and performs more like a lip tint. It does feel more hydrating than the other lip tints out there which is great and it is certainly much more pigmented as well, so if you are looking for something that does not dry out your lips, is long lasting with a strong healthy, natural color, this one is a clear winner. 

Personally, we really enjoyed how this tinted lip oil stains the lip, and while granted its shades do get a little darker upon leaving it for a few minutes after application, the color that gets left on the lips is beautiful and completely budge proof; hence wouldn't need any reapplication throughout the day which is a huge plus point.

Now keep in mind that there is not much shine to this lip oil other than its initial application, so if you are looking for that, you may want to try something else- but no worries, for if you would like some added shine,  you can simply just top it up with a gloss or balm and you would be done. Plus throughout the day, the lips would have color and would remain soft and healthy for that daily natural look too.

All in all, this would honestly be a product that we would put in the bags and carry with us on the daily; and having that it has also ticked all the boxes in terms of its packaging, color range and even its refreshing minty feel on its application, it is certainly a product worth getting. For after trying it out, we can understand the hype around it and even more so because it is user friendly, easy to apply; plus its shade range caters to everyone as well.
