Celebrate Hari Raya 2026 at Suria KLCC with a Beautiful Tribute to Malaysian Heritage

Hari Raya Aidilfitri is always a special time in Malaysia, and this year Suria KLCC is bringing the spirit of the celebration to life with a meaningful tribute to culture, tradition, and togetherness.

From 27 February to 5 April 2026, Malaysia’s iconic shopping destination invites visitors to experience a festive celebration that blends heritage, artistry, and modern lifestyle right in the heart of the KLCC Precinct.

More than just festive décor, the campaign transforms the entire precinct into a cultural journey, where visitors can shop, dine, explore traditional crafts, and soak in the beauty of Malaysian heritage all in one vibrant destination.

A Stunning Bougainvillea Garden Inspired by Tradition

This year’s Hari Raya celebration at Suria KLCC features an immersive heritage-inspired setup at the Centre Court and Esplanade KLCC.

The space has been transformed into a picturesque bougainvillea garden complete with traditional Malay wakaf pavilions, creating a serene and beautiful setting that reflects the charm of kampung life.

Adding a special artistic touch to the installation is a collaboration with Malaysian brand Sofia Iman, known for their modern interpretations of traditional textiles.

One of the highlights of the setup is an incredible 1,710 metres of hand-stamped batik fabric, specially created for this campaign. The batik installations flow throughout the space, from the wakaf structures to the grand hanging displays,  weaving Malaysian craftsmanship into every corner of the celebration.

According to Francis Tan, Executive Director and CEO of Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd, the collaboration represents more than a festive showcase. The campaign reflects Suria KLCC’s commitment to preserving Malaysia’s cultural heritage while sharing it with visitors from around the world, especially in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026.

Witness the Beauty of Songket Weaving

For those curious about traditional Malaysian crafts, one of the most fascinating experiences at Suria KLCC this Raya is the Songket Weaving Demonstration.

Held inside one of the wakaf pavilions, visitors can watch a master weaver from Terengganu create intricate songket patterns using a traditional loom known as the “Kek.” Seeing the weaving process up close offers a rare glimpse into the skill, patience, and artistry behind one of Malaysia’s most treasured textiles.

Cultural Experiences Curated by Sofia Iman

The Hari Raya celebration at Suria KLCC also invites visitors to reconnect with traditions through interactive cultural activities designed for all ages.

Highlights include:

  • Traditional games such as Congkak and Batu Seremban
  • Live Gamelan performances filling the mall with classical melodies
  • Zapin dance performances showcasing the beauty of Malay cultural dance
  •  Batik painting workshops • Raya flower arrangement sessions

“Penjaga Warisan” A Film Celebrating Malaysian Heritage At the heart of this year’s campaign is a meaningful brand film titled “Penjaga Warisan” (Guardian of Heritage), created in collaboration with Sofia Iman.

The film explores the relationship between modern city life and traditional craftsmanship, highlighting the dedication of artisans in Terengganu and the importance of preserving heritage for future generations. True to its message, every element of the film was crafted entirely by human hands, from the music composition to the heartfelt poetry; a reminder of the beauty and authenticity that comes from tradition.

So if you’re planning a Hari Raya outing in Kuala Lumpur, Suria KLCC offers more than just shopping, it’s a chance to experience Malaysian culture, craftsmanship, and festive joy all in one place.
