A CSR Collaboration with Suu Balm and OrphanCare Foundation for the Christmas Season



This Christmas, Suu Balm has launched an Exclusive Christmas Gifting Set that features the brand's best selling products which are their Suu Balm Rapid Itch Relieving and Restoring Moisturizer and their Suu Balm Dual Cooling & Moisturizing Cream Body Wash, along with a traditional Christmas fruit cake and a holiday greeting card from the brand.

Now the company has also committed to donate 10% from the sales proceeds to OrphanCare Foundation, which is a a non-profit organization that advocates and works to give children who are living in institutions and unplanned babies whose lives are at risk, the opportunity to grow up in a loving family. It works closely with the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (JKM) and has partnered with Lumos, an international non-profit organization that advises nations about deinstitutionalization, to coordinate the transition from institutional care for children to a family and community-based care system.

With that, the brand manager of Suu Balm Malaysia, Kha Menn Chua in her statement said “According to OrphanCare, as of 2021, baby dumping cases are still rampant in the South East Asian society and Malaysia being the highest in the percentage with an average of 100 babies are abandoned every year in our country. We are thrilled and honored to be collaborating with an organization such as OrphanCare, who is committed to help reduce these baby abandonment cases with their Baby Hatch initiatives”.

“We’re very hopeful that through this collaboration, the consumers out there will be able to play their parts in preventing baby-dumping in random places and at the same time, save lives. The Advocacy & Communications Manager of OrphanCare Foundation, Riza Binti Alwi expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the donation initiative made by Suu Balm to support the foundation and its effort to curb baby-dumping as well as to reduce the stigma of unplanned pregnancies.
