The Perfect Sculpt | ZIIP HALO Review

Having tried the LED Face Mask by CurrentBody, today we are going forth with something a little smaller and petite, namely ZIIP HALO from ZIIP Beauty, US beauty device brand. This is the brand's latest nanocurrent and microcurrent facial toning device; and at its core, it is meant to assist the skin in looking toned and lifted.

Now first, what we like about this device is that it is easy to travel with and it is simple enough to fit into your daily routine. It fits into the palm of your hand quite nicely and also has quite a direct approach on how to use it effortlessly without it being too overly complicated as well. Plus seeing as this device is already quite well loved with celebrities such as Margot Robbie, Jennifer Anniston and Courtney Cox, it is quite understandable that we are also intrigued on how well it actually works.   

Plus with beauty technology being all the rage right now, many of us are striving to achieve the best version that our skin can be; even more so when it can be done at the comfort of our own home. Now while this device does have admirable claims after long term use, but with a price tag at RM2,500, let's see if it would be worth the investment in the long run. 

ZIIP Halo & What it Comes With

Now what exactly is the ZIIP HALO? Well in short, it is a microcurrent device that delivers an electric current to the skin cells and muscles in your face to stimulate collagen production for firmer and tighter looking skin. So for the unboxing, you can see from the above that the device comes in a rather petite looking box that holds not only the facial toning device, but also the charging cable and the ZIIP Electric Complex Conductive Gel within.   

The standard instructions do apply but basically once the device has been unboxed, it is best to charge the ZIIP HALO to its fullest capacity which should take you about 2-6 hours or so and it should be ready to use. Also, if you have sensitive skin, we would also recommend doing a small patch test on the arm for the day just for safety to ensure that there would be no allergic reaction when pairing the device with its serum. 

What You Need To Know about the ZIIP Halo

What is unique about the ZIIP HALO is that it is powered by its Dual Waveform technology ™, and is meant to target multiple skin concerns from the comfort of your own home by combining Microcurrent and Nanocurrent ™. It is used to improve anti-aging signs and lymphatic drainage to reduce puffiness; but not only that as it is also set to lift, tone and tighten the skin, while it brightens, smooths and plumps it too.

Nanocurrent™ is the secret behind ZIIP HALO for Lock-in long-lasting. These waveforms, unique to ZIIP, work their magic on a cellular level, facilitating the repair andrenewal of your body’s cells and also stimulating collagen and skin cell regeneration.

In terms of its size, the device itself as you can see is quite small and fits quite comfortably in the palm of the hand. Utilising the ZIIP Halo

So after charging the device, apply a thin layer for the ZIIP Electric Complex Conductive Gel to your face, for this will help conduct the electric waves. We have to emphasize that a thin layer is all you need because if applied on too much, the base can get quite oily, so do kindly take note. However, if  your skin is sensitive, please use more gel, as it can help reduce the electric sensation.

There are different gels for various needs on their website, including:

• Electric Complex Gel: the core formula in ZIIP gels. It’s suitable for all skin types as it has been  designed for everyday use.

• Silver Gel: Ideal for dry or sensitive skin, it provides a soft, plump, and hydrated glow.

• Golden Gel: This anti-aging gel is infused with active ingredients that effectively reduce fine  lines, smooth skin texture, and help delay the signs of aging.

• Crystal Gel: glow-inducing, organic conductive gel for those with uneven skin tones and  pigmentation. 

You can now turn on your ZIIP HALO which will then give you a beep, and if you follow through the instructions manual, all you need to do next is do upward motions on each side of the face and around the chin, cheeks and forehead. 

As the device mimics electric impulses to the skin to stimulate collagen and repair, you would feel small little microcurrents as the device pulls upward, but notably it is quite non-invasive and you would not feel any pain with it. If anything, the treatment felt like a nice massage on our end. 

So once this full treatment is completed, the device will make a small beep and even between the treatment, it also gives a gentle buzz to let you know when to move to another part of the face. Pretty straightforward right?

The Results

After using the device for a full 8 week run (6 times a week at night), you can see that the skin looks a lot tighter and more toned, plus less saggy around the chin to cheek area. We also noticed that the face didn't look as puffy and red as how it was before too and felt a lot firmer and less sensitive which was nice. 

Now continuous usage of course is what helps the most here and the longer you would use this device daily, the more lifted and sculpted your skin would be. A good plus point is that you can customise the intensity to what your skin would be alright with and seeing as it is simple enough to implement it into your routine, you can bring it with you anywhere at any given time. Admittedly the product is a little expensive on the initial purchase, however for the results that it gives in the long run, we would say it's a rather good investment.
