Betjeman & Barton |
Coming across Betjeman & Barton during Christmas last year was an elation for we have been surveying around KL for quite some time on administrators of fine teas.
If you have yet to hear about Betjeman & Barton; they are a world renowned french tea brewing from Paris that focuses on serving the best french tea along with french confectioneries such as cakes, macaroons and chocolates.

The refreshing French Tea served by Betjeman & Barton |
From its humble beginnings in 1919, Betjeman & Barton quickly gained recognition on its vast tea varieties and after a long while has finally arrived on our shores, opening its first store in 1Utama Shopping Center on June 2014.
The store of Betjeman & Barton is absolutely stunning, with the neat array of displays of teas and quaint tea sets being showcased on their shelves. Each had a description tag on it as well, providing customers a little more eloquent definition on the type of tea that they would like to purchase.
Tea Sets |
During the French Tea Perfume Party hosted by The Butterfly Project, we were treated to sampling some of their brew and confectioneries and we were deeply enamored by how wonderfully smooth and mildly sweet the tea was; and this was before adding in sugar into the cup.
Chocolate Cheese Cake |
Orange Chocolate Cake, Chocolates and Macaroons |
As for Betjeman & Barton french pastries, they were an absolute delight to the senses as well; especially favoring the orange chocolate cake that they were serving on that day. With light music and delightful company, the whole experience was definitely a great one.
Shelby Kho from Bisou BonBon |
Now seeing that this was also a perfume party as well, we were given a live product demonstration at the perfume bar at Betjeman & Barton by none other than Shelby Kho who is the founder of Bisou BonBon.
As Shelby explained on the three notes of the perfume, she also showed us how to curate one that would allow us to bring our very own bespoke perfume back home. Depending on preferences, different combination of scents can created multiple variations of fragrances so its best that after the mixture is done; to leave it to cure for six weeks to get the best out of what has been formulated.
