Esse Plus Probiotic Serum Review

The Esse Plus Probiotic Serum

Esse is an organic skincare brand from South Africa that has been in the market for the last 10 years with its certified organic products being exported to more than 20 countries around the world.

Keeping in pace with scientific advances in the way that the skin is understood, Esse now introduces its very first live probiotic serum, the very first of its cosmetic kind in its Esse Plus premium range which contains one billion live probiotic microbes per millilitre to expedite the colonisation of healthy microbes on the skin.

The Packaging

So in other words, this premium range is specifically for anti-aging and this product here that we are going to be discussing today is the highlight of the entire line and is the very first step in its foundation.

Designed for 35+ and above, the Probiotic Serum's function is to strenghten the skin's barrier so that the skin can perform to do its job at ease; and thus protect us from harmful bacteria and substances in the long run. As for those of us who have younger skin, it can also be used as a treatment as well.

Esse Probiotic Serum

The Dispenser

So how does this product work? First and foremost you have to understand that this serum is highly concentrated and as mentioned above, it is the first cosmetic product with live probiotic microbes globally. Hence, technically in one drop there are about 50 million live probiotic microbes detected in the serum and will only be activated when coming into contact with water or with a toner or moisturizer.

Application

Balancing the skin's pH levels, the probiotic serum is exceptionally effective for skin showing any form of stress, plus it reduces redness and inflimation, locks in moisture and thus protects the skin from external damages and ageing. It is suitable for all skin types so no worries but it has to be use sparingly - best at once or twice a week at night. This product can also be used with the other products within its own line but as mentioned that it is fully concentrated, its good to pair it up with a moisturizer (according to the skin needs) so that you do not heavily over treat your skin.

"It is best to use the product within its own line for too high a pH level can kill probiotics that are in the product. Hence it is recommended not to combine the product with other ranges as to not to harm the probiotics within."

Texture of the skin much smoother after application

So far, the effects of the probiotic serum is not too bad although significantly you would definitely see more defined results in the coming weeks, but in the areas that were showing signs of creasing or wrinkles, there is a certain reduction, so with that improvement we are pretty happy with that. Plus with a beautifully repackaged recyclable glass, the design stays true to its airless system as to not interfere with the probiotics in any way.

In the meantime, for more information on the serum or on the Esse Plus range, you can visit their Official Website for the details or their Facebook Page for more details.
