When you struggle with dry skin, it becomes a constant back and forth between finding good skincare products that can work best for it; and ones that would have a solid balance to not be overly concentrated but gentle to the skin.
For those of you who have been following me for a long time, I think you all know very well that I often refresh my skincare by introducing something new to it every two months or so. Hence with that, I decided to give a go on Cetaphil, a brand that has been well loved by many in both the past and present; and is known for their affordable yet incredible skincare range.
Now to start of with, one the main products that I often go and switch up from time to time is my cleanser. As you know there are many out there, and having gone between foam, liquid and cream cleansers in the past; I was definitely on the lookout for something different; or more specifically a cleanser that would be affordable to utilize on a daily basis, would be gentle on all skin types, and most importantly one that go about cleansing the skin without stripping its natural oils.
Plus in the past, I have heard many good things about Cetaphil and its range of products; and with this cleanser, a unique point to factor in is that its formulation is completely soap and foam free, which in turn means that all skin types can utilize it and it is not harmful to those who have sensitive skin. In addition, it would give a clean and well-moisturized wash as well.
So to begin, let us have a look at the packaging first. The bottle comes in a very simple yet clean concept, with a nice open and lock feature on the cap; plus it contains over 500ml of product which would last you for quite some time. Also not to mention, its price point is below RM50, so you would definitely getting quite a bang for your buck if you are looking to invest in this cleanser to utilize on a daily basis.
Moving on to its usage and formulation, I enjoy using this particular cleanser for both day and night. The texture is extremely lightweight and goes on the skin like a thin film that both soothes and moisturizes it. As mentioned before, there is no foam or soapy consistency once it is mix in with water, and when applied, it is extremely cooling for the skin as well.
After usage I have to say that the skin was left really nice and plumped; plus it looked well hydrated and had a nice healthy glow to it too. I am usually not one to go for the tight, squeaky clean feel after using a cleanser due to the fact it would strip my skin off its natural moisture, so this one is definitely right up my alley.
Pros:
- Suitable for all skin types (Based on a survey conducted by Home Testers Club Malaysia, 99% of women agree that the product gently cleans and moisturises without stripping the skin's natural oils).
- Fragrance Free and does not irritate the skin.
- Extremely soft and gentle on the skin and moisturises as it cleanses.
- Affordable and can last you a long time.
- Recommended and trusted by dermatologists so it is safe to use.
- Can be used for both the face and body.
- Able to remove light makeup.
- Has great pH balance and helps the skin retain moisture.
- Can be used with or without water.
On overall, I got to say that for a daily cleanser at that price and size, it is definitely a worthwhile investment. I can also see why many users love the brand and use Cetaphil products consistently; for the formulation is really gentle & unique, plus they cater to all skin types too. In addition, the cleanser is really straightforward to utilize with no hassle, so that is something I really appreciate, especially on those busy days where I would like something simple in my skincare routine. Just washing my face with this Gentle Skin Cleanser is good enough to retain the moisture in my skin.
The product is also suitable for all skin types regardless dry, oily, sensitive or normal. If you have dry skin like me, try it out because it doesn't dry out your skin as it is soap free. It also keeps the skin moisturised even after cleansing. If you have oily skin, don't worry because it cleans your skin but doesn't strip away the natural oil that your skin needs. If you have sensitive skin, you can use it too because it is really gentle and clinically proven to be non-irritating. If you have normal skin, this is really good as it helps maintain the skin's health.
In the meantime, for further details, you can head over to Cetaphil's Official Website. For more updates, you can also go to their Facebook Page for more information as well. If you would like to try it or other Cetaphil products, check out their official store on Lazada and Shopee.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI've also found Cetaphil products to be very helpful and effective. I'm having a dry skin texture and as per the recommendation of my dermatologist I came to know about Cetaphil products and started using moisturizing cream for face of Cetaphil brand. This hypoallergenic, non-irritating, non-comedogenic, pH-balanced moisturizing cream for face helps to reduce the flaky appearance, inflammation and scars on our face. The SPF 50 action protects our skin from sunburn and premature skin aging. I found this moisturizing cream for face to be very effective and just wanted to mention it here.
