Tiger Street Food Virtual Festival

We personally don't think we have every seen a virtual experience as cool as this before and Tiger Beer has made all this possible by not only giving us the world's first fully-immersive 3D online street food festival experience but to also assist 88 street food vendors during these trying times.

So what exactly is this virtual experience about and how does it work? Well to put it simply, the Tiger Street Food Virtual Festival takes street food from the streets and onto your screens, and here you can explore the virtual streets, interact with others, play games and order street food & Tiger Beer directly to your door.

Now this is a fully immersive and engaging online experience, and launching at 11am on Friday, 6th of November, it will be open from 11am to 9pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until the end of the month. Additionally, the Tiger Street Food Virtual Festival is much more than a home delivery service for it recreates the full experience of a food festival but in a completely digital world.

So how exactly do you go about participating in it? Well its pretty simple. First you have to create your own customised avatar like the visual above, and once done, you will be able to walk the 3D Streets interacting with others, playing games and visiting vendors while ordering street food directly to your door through DeliverEat, which is the official delivery partner of the Tiger Street Food Virtual Festival.

On top of that, there are activities and more to participate in, and here you will be able to get recommendations on must try dishes and find exclusive Happy Hour promotions from Drinkies which is Heineken Malaysia's Berhad (HEINEKEN Malaysia) at home beer delivery service.

As for the games, there are two to select from and they are hosted by YouTuber Lizz Chloe and Harvinth Skin. In this, they will need your help to complete different challenges and will reward you with promo codes and even free cartons of Tiger Crystal.

The Virtual Games:

  • Lizz Chloe's Game | Tiger Beer Hunt:
    • Sets you racing around Street Food Central  collecting hidden bottles of Tiger Beer before the timer runs out. The first 100 people to score 300 points each day will win a promo code for RM5 off any F&B purchase at the festival.

  • Harvinth Skin | The Tiger Crystal Mountain Climber Challenge:
    • Will test your reflexes with an adrenaline-pumping mountain climb. Dodge obstacles, snowballs and Yetis  while you collect bottles of ice-cold Tiger Crystal on your race to the top. The first 88 people  to score 300 points each day will win a promo code for RM5 off any F&B purchase at the  festival, and the three players with the highest scores at the end of November will each win a 24-can carton of Tiger Crystal.

Now if running around has worked up an appetite, be sure to visit KL Foodie's character in Street Food Central, for each week he will show you a selection of 10 must try dishes that are available at the Tiger Street Food Festival. Here there will be some crowd favourites and some hidden gens, while others are limited editions created exclusively for the festival.

Plus, Street Food Central also plays hosts to the Drinkies Bar and here you can order chilled Tiger Beer to be delivered to your home, and stopping by between 3pm and 5pm will unlock an additional Happy Hour promotion, earning you an RM30 discount on purchases of Tiger Beer of Tiger Crystal above RM150.

Not only that, but branching off Street Food Central are 3 streets which are Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Penang Street, and each of them are filled with an ever changing array of vendors based in these localities, thus serving up menus created just for the Tiger Street Food Virtual Festival. For those living in these selected areas, it also gets even better because as long as you are within a 15km radius of the vendor, you will be able to order these delights to your doorstep while exploring the festival.

Additionally, the Tiger Street Food Virtual Festival will kick off in style at 7pm on Friday 6th November, with an exclusive live performance by Malaysian hip hop artist Namewee. This will be coming in all the way from Taiwan and will only be available for viewing within the Tiger Street Food Virtual Festival, so this opening performance is definitely not one to be missed.

Now there will be over 88 vendors in total across the four weeks of the festival and thus they will be offering a huge selection of famous dishes alongside brand-new, limited edition creations infused with Tiger Beer of Tiger Crystal, and even crossover collaborations with other vendors, eg: the 'Hainanburg,' a collaboration from Yut Kee x myBurgerLab.
