Skinlycious Launches Clear Skin Complete Starter Kit For Acne Prone Skin

With Acne Awareness Month happening in June 2021, Singapore brand Skinlycious launches is Clear Skin Complete Starter Kit to assist people who struggle with acne skin. Now this complete kit is catered for those who have different acne skin types and within, it features seven products from Skinlycious to provide them with a complete skincare routine.

Now in terms to its retail, its starter kit goes at SGD$74 and addresses the root causes of acne, plus it also helps in lightening down post acne marks, while balancing and normalising acne prone skin too. So before we get into the products, here is a little background for Skinlycious; for Jasmine Kang who is the founder of the brand, created this skincare solution for those battling with acne, for she herself had struggled with acne for 14 years, and thus had dedicated her life to finding ways to fix her skin.

Hence Skinlycious began with three products and over the years has been defined to offer a whole range of products for people with acne prone skin of all ages, genders and skin types.

“Embarking on this journey has helped me learn so much about the different types of acne-prone skin. People with acne-prone skin have varying reactions to skincare ingredients and different acne triggers. After eight years of research and formulating skincare, we discovered that many ingredients, with just a change in concentration could make or break one’s skin. Therefore we have developed a range that aims to help people of all acne-prone skin types,” Jasmine Kang, Founder, Skinlycious.

With this kit, the expectations are basically to experience improvements like less redness, oiliness and shrinking of existing acne. Plus not only that, but for complete clear skin as well, it would also take 2-3 months as the skin cell cycle takes 28 days to renew. So patience of course is key for this one.

So in terms, the kit comprises the following products below, but we will also be including a quick breakdown for each for reference as well.

• Calming Cleanser – Now this cleanser is used to calm the skin and reduce redness while removing dirt and dead skin cells without stripping the skin of its natural moisture. The consistency for this is very gentle and it did not leave the skin dry or irritated which is great.

• Soothing Cleansing Gel – This one is a little different for the Calming Cleanser because it is a triple-action cleanser that removes waterproof makeup, sunscreen, dirt and excess oils without disturbing the balance of the skin. Upon use, it hydrates the skin well and we also didn't see any form of redness after the removal of makeup too.

• Glow Exfoliant – Now this one is an AHA/BHA chemical exfoliant that helps break down pimples, blackheads, cystic-acne and removes layers of dead skin cells. It can be used as a spot corrector for acne which we really like or, as a full face exfoliant to reveal brighter, clearer skin. 

 

• Hydrating Serum – We really enjoyed using this one because it is an oil-free, lightweight formula that is easily absorbed into the skin without feeling sticky. The serum is really hydrating too and keeps a good balance of oil and sebum as well as firming properties for younger-looking skin.  

 

• Barrier Booster Moisturiser – Rich in antioxidants and ceramics, this moisturiser helps to strengthen the skin's barrier whilst reducing skin sensitivity. It also gives a good moisture boost to the skin, softens and smooths the skin's texture as well.

• Clarifying Serum –So with this one, this serum targets and reduces spots within 1-2 applications. It can be used as a spot treatment for acne/ post-acne marks, or as an anti-aging and skin brightening serum for visibly clearer and brighter looking skin too. 

  

• Multi Protection Mineral Sunscreen (SPF 30)  – Suitable for all skin types, the consistency for this one is pretty sheer, and is a non-greasy and non-sticky mineral sunscreen that helps to protect the skin against UVA and UVB rays. It also provides the skin protection against environmental stresses as well.
