Experiencing Sunway Lagoon Nickelodeon Raya

Sunway Lagoon has always been a rather nostalgic experience for me, partly because I had so many great memories back there when I was a kid. Thus returning to the theme park almost two decades later with my little one was definitely  a special yet surreal moment; but  it would be one that I would return to time and again, because it laid so many good memories between us as a family.

This particular Raya season was a unique one, partly because it was celebrated with everyone's favourite Nickelodeon characters, happening this 25 May till the 9th of June 2019. This includes SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, Dora the Explorer, Boots and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, who will be making appearances along the way to mix and mingle with the crowd.

Now if you are wondering how to get to the Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon, you needn't worry, for the friendly Sunway Lagoon staff would pass you their Park Guide Map to navigate you through the theme park. However there are two ways to go about it; one is if you enjoy nature walks, you can go through their Wildlife Park- one which has a jungle trail, bear enclosure, the white Lion kingdom, tree top terrace, a pet village and more.

However if you are more for extreme sports or water activities, you can head over through the Sunway Lagoon's Extreme Park which has Kayaking, Flying Fox, Beach Volleyball, Bungy Trampoline and etc. Either way, both routes will be able to get you to the Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon.

On our end, we decided to head on over to the Water Park area to look at some water activities which we knew our little one would enjoy. So much so that when we headed to Surf Beach, she quickly ran over to the water and had a splashing good time. We also decided to pop on over to the souvenir shop as well to get the little one a couple of new swimwear outfits, for the designs there were really cute, plus the price point was very reasonable too.

So once all that was done, we headed on over to the Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon, and you guys, first off the place was huge. There were Nickelodeon-themed activities for the little ones, plus for those who enjoy Dora the explorer, you can also make your way over to the Explorer's Campsite and have a challenge of a test of knowledge with a collection of fun and educational Dora and Boots puzzle games.

However if you are looking for a little something fun with SpongeBob Square Pants, you can also revel in merriment of bubbles with him at the SpongeBob's Bubble blowing Playtime to see who can catch the biggest bubbles.

For those who enjoy a little more action activity, you can also have a true ninja experience with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with their Shuriken Kids Challenge, plus there is also a giant tipping bucket to tip over and splash everyone with green slime at SpongeBob's Splash Adventure too.

However if you are looking to capture some memories with your family, there are tons of Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon's Insta-stops located through the park to capture the moment, and with this you could also stand a chance to win the Sunway Lagoon's 4-To-Go package. Plus to add into it, Sunway Lagoon will also be giving away up to 150 Call for Celebration Fun Passes where 30 lucky children will be selected daily from 5-9 June to participate in the Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon's Call for Celebration Parade for a once in a lifetime moment as well.

On overall, my family and I throughly enjoyed the experience and I personally was extremely happy to see my little one running around everywhere and experiencing different things in extreme wonder and delight.
