THE FACE SHOP Ink Lasting Glow Foundation Review | What You Need To Know

Over the course of 2019, the dynamic of foundations have changed; and with most people now going for a more dewy and healthy look, the beauty industry has been following up, thus curating more glowy yet natural finishes for the public.

Thus enter in K-Beauty brand THE FACE SHOP, which when last discussed, curated the Ink Lasting Slim Fit Foundation back in 2018. You can head over to this link to have a read on it but in the meantime for today's topic, we are going to talk about the brand's newest extension, which is its Ink Lasting Foundation Glow Foundation.

THE FACE SHOP Ink Lasting Glow Foundation

Now the Ink Lasting Glow Foundation is a liquid formulation that fits perfectly towards dry skin. This is by no means saying that it is only suited to one specific skin type, but instead it also can be utilised by those who have combination skin too. It is stated to give an all-day coverage that won't flake or cake up, and it has the added sun protection of SPF30 PA++ as well.

So what you need to know about this product is its key features; where I will list down below for reference. The main takeaway from this though is that this specific foundation has a weightless feel, thus it can be applied with your fingers, makeup brush or beauty blender; following the direction of the skin's texture of course.
Key Features:

  • Luminous Oil & Light Reflecting Micro Shimmer:
    • Instantly smoothes out skin texture and adds a touch of natural radiance.
  • Built-in Primer Polymers:
    • The formula covers fine lines and uneven surfaces without streaking.
  • Pigment Fixing System:
    • Lasting, non-suffocating coverage with a weightless feel for comfortable wear.
  • Adenosine:
    • Enriched with a powerful anti-aging ingredient that improves the appearance of lines and wrinkle.

Does It Live Up To Its Claims?

Available in 4 shades which are in N201, V201, N203 and V203, we would say for the most part, yes it does. As can be seen from above (N201 is on the left, and N203 is on the right) the formulation for this is indeed quite lightweight, but as it blends out you can either have the option of sheering it out or building it up.

What I personally liked about it which matched up to its description is that its texture is indeed very light, thus the effort of blending it out was seamless. A plus point is that even with a brush it did not streak and it didn't settle into any fine lines which was great.

*N shades are for neutral tones; V shades are for pink based tones*

Also as can be seen on the picture above, the finish here has touch of radiance and gives a very healthy glow to the skin. It does not oxidise, and it also has a soft-focus, diffused finish which smoothes away tiny imperfections; plus upon measure it adds moisturization to the skin for up to 10%. In terms of its wear, it can go up to 8 hours without touch up as well.

On overall, I really enjoy the foundation, however in the days to come, I do hope we could see a more wider shade range as the formulation for this is really quite spot on, especially in our hot and humid Malaysian weather. In the meantime, the Ink Lasting Glow Foundation is already available in stores and online; and the retail for each of the 4 shades is at RM97 for 30ml. However for more information, you can head on over to THE FACE SHOP's Official Website and Facebook Page for further details.
