Before I start, I would like to give a warm thank you to the Butterfly Project and Natta Cosme for giving me the opportunity to review Natta Cosme's Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel Alcohol-Free Toner.

The Butterfly Project's collaboration with Natte Cosme was with regards to one of their skincare products, a Toner For Better Skin - Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel Alcohol- Free Toner.

Establishing itself in 2010, Natta Cosme is a wonderful online platform that brings together its consumers to locate certified beauty products which best suits our Asian skin.

Ranging from skin care, hair care and make up products, the products come in at a wholesome variety and an affordable price tag with just one simple click of the button.

With regards, Natta Cosme's Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel Alcohol-Free Toner was delivered through Nationwide Express and I was pleasantly surprised that the parcel came quite fast from it's store in Negeri Sembilan. 

I was quite happy to receive the parcel and it came in good condition and was well packed.

The Unboxing

The unboxing process was quite interesting.

With regards to it's packaging, the products came encased with red paper along some shredded paper for extra protection. A little sticker was also showcased in the middle to seal the inside packaging to prevent the shredded paper from coming out.

Below are the 3 products that were received in the box. The packaging for each one was absolutely lovely and well thought out.

Let's unveil the leaflet first and see what was kept inside.

A description of the product and a brief background of Natta Cosme

As you can see, the leaflet had 4 lovely cards, each one of them specifically stating the 'Introduction of the Project', 'The Product', 'The Brief Background of Natta Cosme' and an 'Appreciation Card'. 

The next one was packed in a very cute plastic packaging.

Inside contained 20 Cotton Pads, 1 Natta Cosme Card and 1 Surprise Capsule.

Now this is the part where I find it interesting.

While I find that the concept of the cotton pads were extremely thoughtful, it was the creative attempt of capsule that caught my attention.

The Surprise Capsule

Deriving from the simple concept of  'Message in the Bottle', the capsule looked like any normal medication that a person could take. If it was put among any of my ordinary supplement pills, I would have definitely mistaken it for being one of them.

As you can see above, that the tiny message was neatly rolled up and contained in a gold metal ring.

And lo and behold, the message from Natta Cosme :) It was written on both sides - one containing a question and another a description of an item that was received along with the pack, which in this case was the cotton pads.

What type of cotton was sent in your package?

I honestly thought this was pretty good as I didn't know that the Cotton Pads had a specific name for them. Lily Bell Lilian Puff was such a cute name too.

Now let's move on to the prized product of the day.

Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel Alcohol-Free Toner

Coming in at an affordable price tag of RM55 *now at RM45* at Natta Cosme, this 355ML toner comes with ZERO Alcohol, and Aloe Vera Formula that is Gentle to touch, Moisturizes the skin and infuses Vitamin E all at once.

Thayers have been around since 1847 which amounts to 166 years to date so as you can probably tell, its credibility for its products is basically a hands down ball game.

With regards, the product was well packed in bubble wrap to avoid any form of damage or leakage. Well done :) 

As I unwrapped it, I received the product along with a little Q&A. With regards to the question, I suppose for me- after applying toner I would go straight towards a moisturizer. 

This is partly because after cleansing the skin, I like to ease in moisture so that my skin would not get dry.

The packaging

Unveiled, the product was sealed with a pretty red ribbon and a pink plastic wrap for the top to avoid any spillage.

Now the key benefits to note with this product is that it is:

Providing two star combinations to its customers - 'Alcohol Free' along with the excellent and natural astringent-'Witch Hazel', Thayers have made an excellent comeback to good old fashion remedy.

Removing the protective layer

Feeling soft and hydrated after use, I applied it after washing my face just in case my cleanser missed any dirt, oil or makeup.

Applying The Toner

Soaking it on my Lily Bell Lilian Puff, I swiped it across my cheeks, face and neck. Here were the results.

Excess Dirt and Oil

Needless to say, I was amazed with the outcome. I had thoroughly cleansed my face with my usual cleansing routine, and yet it manage to remove the additional dirt that had been embedded within. In other words, I was very impressed.

Other than that, Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel also has a delightful fresh Rose Petal scent which lingers for about an hour after each application and has a very cool and refreshing feel on my skin. Skin also feels extra soft - I suppose due to the Certified Organic Filet of Aloe Vera.

It also consists of the two 'M's which is 'Mattify and 'Moisture'- which in my book is a big plus as searching for toners which locks in moisture without giving an oily sensation is difficult to locate.

I suppose the great benefits of Witch Hazel is also one of the primary reason why dryness is not a factor here if compared to purchasing other toners from local drugstores.Of course the Zero Alcohol element also plays a part here.
