The power play of makeup takes central focus in Shu Uemura once again and this season ladies, it has got to do with your lips. The upcoming launch of the much awaited Rouge Unlimited Sheer Shine Lipstick has finally touched base at Shu Uemura's store in KLCC and today we had a quick sneak peak at the products and all the goodness that it had to offer.

Seeing that it is only a month away from its official launch date, Shu Uemura's Rouge Unlimited Sheer Shine Lipstick has already been highly anticipated, and honestly after testing it out today, it is no surprise as to why that is. It's new texture boasts a sheer sensation of vibrant colors that amplifies the natural lip tone and with a sheer yet shiny finish, it can also achieve a modern and healthier complexion for the face.

I find it pretty amazing that a lipstick can create varied tones of personalities, and yet this fact rings true, for with this lightly melting balm stick, it simply constructs a beautiful plump finish on the lips with its vibrant hybrid pigment.
Plus I know that even though it may seem that the application on the swatches above might look a little sheer, I guarantee you that once it is on the lips, it is an entirely different story.

As you can see from the pictures, the color of the Rouge Unlimited Sheer Shine Lipstick looks very pigmented and gives off a very luscious and fresh vibe to the completed appearance.
However the reason to this is that a conditioning lip balm is needed for the base to help moisturize and enhance a higher shine. So if you are the type that enjoys fuller glossy lips then that would be a trick of the trade to adhere to.

| Which application works best? |
With regards to application, it is indeed very smooth but try not apply it directly onto the lip as the completed look would not come out as pigmented. Instead use a lip brush and gently go over the lips from the center sweeping outwards. Not only will this create an even finish but it will also outline the lips without the usage of a lip liner as well.

However on the other hand, if you are looking to take a look at Shu Uemura's best sellers and products, you can also visit their brand new reopened store at KLCC at the Concourse Floor of Suria KLCC. The set up there is simply gorgeous and to be honest, it is quite a sight to see. So do drop by and have a look whenever you are in KL, for you can locate it at store code C55 at KLCC.

There's so many things to love about Shu Uemura! Not that I fell in love with their lipsticks and gloss, I can't help but to keep a lookout of what they'll come up with next =D

ReplyDeleteI am more on the darker shades too lol but the coral was a refreshing tone to experiment with :) With regards, the purple shades are rather lovely; the range has two tones to it, so depending on your preference, I am sure they will suit you well :)
DeleteLove your makeup and how beautifully they do it, Never realised actually that direct application and brush application has so much of difference.
ReplyDeleteVery true. Though I think with regards to brush applications, you would get more even and precise lines, hence with regards to color pigment, the tone of the lipstick would come out stronger.
DeleteDirect application on the other hand depends on the shade and formulation of the lipstick but at most, it still has some hits and misses comparatively to brush applications.
