Achieving the perfect brows |
Brows are one of the most important features that you can have on the face as it brings every focal point together; from your nose, cheekbone highlight, eyes and more. The learning process on
achieving the best brow shape that you can for your face however takes practice, and over the years I have come to learn how to slowly master it in the way that compliments my structure.
Beginning
with the basic tool of a simple angled brow pen back in the day, I didn't really have many options to explore with, but after discovering
Benefit Cosmetics a good number of years back, let's just say one never looks back. Plus when the brand unveiled their
entire Brow Collection range of 10 products, I was immensely stoked, hence now with the ideal tools at my fingertips; I now had the means to create that perfect brow.
|
The Benefit Gimme Brow & Goof Proof Brow Pencil |
So for today, I am going to be showing you how
to create that perfect feathered brow with just
two products out of their new brow range; one which is the
Gimme Brow that I am sure most of you are already familiar with, and another which is the
Goof Proof Brow Pencil that glides on the brows really easily and fills up empty spaces within.
Of course to amplify this effect a bit more,
bring along a good concealer with you as this will help redefine the shape of your brows so much more.
Picture Tutorial
|
Cleanse the brows |
The first thing that you would want to do is to
cleanse your brow. Take a clean cotton swab, dab on some makeup remover on it and gently press it over the brow. Next,
take a clean spooly and define your brow shape, so that when you take your tools, you can easily see
where you would want to draw your ideal brow.
|
Take a spooly and set them in place |
Once everything has been defined (Benefit Cosmetics has a three point system for this), take you
Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil.
Mine is in Shade 4, retails for RM110 a piece and on its own, it is
super pigmented, so go on with it as gently as you can.

The Goof Proof Brown Pencil |
|
The Applicator |
The tip of this
is quite soft but it is really great for those of you who have super thin brows, but since I have been blessed with quite thick ones, light-handed strokes would be all you need to shape with this.
|
Starting from the mid-section to the back first then feather out the front |
|
The Before and After |
So once everything has been structured and filled, take your
Benefit Gimme Brow and start setting the strays in place. I absolutely love this product and
retailing at RM110, it has been my go to brow product for the past few months, especially when I am on the go or on travels.
This little tube is so easy to use plus it is very convenient when you need to do your brows in a jiffy.

Setting the strands in place with the Gimme Brow |
|
The Applicator |
Mine is in the
shade number 3 and this is
absolutely perfect for that feathering out motion that I mentioned above. Simply go in
light-handedly at the front of the brow and work your way towards the back, ensuring that every stray hair is kept in place.
|
During application - setting the brow |
When completed,
take your concealer, place a little under your arch and slowly but surely clean up the excess to get a more exact shape.

Cleaning up the brow with concealer |
|
You are done! |
So technically that is basically it, and as you can see, the steps are pretty straightforward. Plus with
only two products in use to get this natural featured brow, just imagine what you can do with the rest.
|
The completed look |
So far, I am looking forward to giving a go at their
High Brow Highlight & Lift Pencil but in the meantime, for further details, you can head over to
Benefit Cosmetics Malaysia on their
Official Facebook Page to find out more.
Xx!
