At Shu Uemura's Christmas Collection Preview

Every single year, Shu Uemura outdoes itself in terms of its creativity and products, and for 2016, their Holiday Collection of skincare and makeup certainly inspires. Symbolizing love, hope and peace while representing the world of poetry and magic, the Japanese beauty brand has teamed up with contemporary artist Takashi Murakami for not the first but second time.

In terms of the visualization into the Cosmic Blossom Holiday 2016 Collection, the mark of the range here is to redefine the joy of every day beauty. Hence, the widely celebrated flower motifs that are on the packaging are reminiscent of that and whips up the holiday magic like no other.

Hence, having some of Shu Uemura's iconic products repackaged and themed with festive cheer, (like the Black Premium Curler and Blanc: Chroma Blossom Cushion Foundation), you can certainly see that this extension creates a classic addition to your Christmas collection.


Not only that, you can also see that the newer additions like the palettes shows some of the more vibrant eye colors ranging from cool to warm tones, while featuring an unique mix of pink hues and coral accents for the blush that adheres well for Christmas theme too.

However what caught our eye the most was the limited edition rouge range, which upon application to the lips are extremely smooth.


There are 5 limited edition lipsticks within the collection (3 Sheer Shines and 2 Rouge Unlimited) that are great for every day wear and while the formulation for the Rouge Unlimited are more opague, both consistencies are quite glossy, and finishes off with a rather beautiful yet moisturizing finish.
