Antipodes Halo Skin-Brightening Facial Mud Mask Review

When it comes to using face masks in our daily skincare routine, many of us tend to be selective with the types that are available to us in the beauty market. There are the clay sorts, liquid, exfoliants and even sheet masks as an option; and hence from there we would thus have the choice of having the selection of having a moisturizing aspect, purifying, brightening, and more at our disposal.

Antipodes Halo Skin-Brightening Mud Mask

So with Antipodes new launch, here we have with us the Halo Skin-Brightening Mud Mask. It is stated in its description to have brightening and lifting effects, and features Vinanza Grape & Kiwi Fruit Extract which is quite unique to its release. This product is also an addition to Antipodes Skincare's Brightening Range as well.

Now this product is recommended to use twice a week, which we followed religiously for a fortnight, and its results were extremely pleasing as we noticed a fair improvement in our skin-tone. After a fair 15 minutes of usage, the Antipodes Halo Skin-Brightening Mud Mask had somehow evened out any form of redness and texture, plus it made the skin seem more firm, radiant and clearer than usual upon continuous usage too.

However if you are sensitive to fragrances, do keep in mind that this mask does have a light floral scent to it. It is not something that overpowers, but it does have a nice lingering balance that is quite relaxing upon use. In terms of the texture of the product, it is reminiscent of an extremely fine scrub and acts like both a scrub and mask in one go upon application. The mask itself is pale green, and as you spread the texture out, you would notice a very fine grain that is meshed into its smooth consistency as well.

Now on overall, we think this mask is great. Its clay effect gives a luxurious feel to the skin and does improve the skin's texture very well, but considering its price point is at RM169 a 75g tub, it is a slightly expensive affair. Nonetheless, considering that it worked effortlessly for dry skin (remember to follow up with a good moisturizer after), the results should be even more impressive with combination and oily too. Plus if you have sensitive skin, you needn't worry for the range is vegan and cruelty free as well.

In the meantime, for further details, do head on over to Antipodes Official Facebook Page for more details. You can also find the product and the brightening range available at TNS SkinLab too.
