THE FACE SHOP Ink Lasting Foundation Slim Fit Review

I have been a stickler on selecting good foundations recently, and with The Face Shop's latest release of their Ink Lasting Foundation Slim Fit, I was certainly piqued by curiosity. Now I am all about the concept that less is more, and with this foundation being specifically designed to hug the skin's natural contours for a flawless complexion, the appeal of it definitely sounds all the more promising.

So with this launch, there are two ways to go about with the foundation, one where it is in a cushion compact form at 15 grams, and the other which is in a type of a bottle which holds the standard 30 ml of product.

THE FACE SHOP Ink Lasting Foundation | 30ml at RM93

With regards to the bottled Ink Lasting Slim Fit Foundation, it is available in 4 shades and has a nice UV Protection of SPF30 PA++. Upon wear it gives a decent amount of coverage to the skin (pat it on), and gives a boost to both tone and radiance too.

However, it is best to base it with a good hydrating primer if you are looking for the coverage to last slightly longer than you average 8 hour wear (it also gives a nice hydrating, non-cakey finish) but one thing good that I personally enjoyed about it is that it does not oxidize and its long-wear is maintain on the skin with very minimal touch up needed.

THE FACE SHOP Ink Lasting Foundation Slim Fit To Go | 15g at RM118

In terms to the Ink Lasting Foundation Slim Fit To Go (cushion compact), this would be ideal to be with you whenever you head out or even for travelling overseas to get a quick touch up. The packaging here is not the standard cushion press, but rather it is the contactless pump that releases the right amount of foundation needed without compromising on any form of bacterial contamination as well.

As for the wear, it gives a nice natural coverage on the skin and has a light to medium build. It feels weightless on the skin and gives a very airbrushed finish to it as well. The coverage can last quite a bit too, which is pretty impressive and can go up to an 8 hour wear (with primer) with very minimal touch ups needed.

Now on overall, the two foundations are great to use, especially if you are looking for one to use on a daily basis. They are budget friendly, gives great long wear capabilities, and have decent coverage that does not look cakey on the skin. Personally I enjoyed the Slim Fit To Go compact a little better than the bottled Ink Lasting Foundation, but that is because my preference tends to lean more towards the natural side. However if you are looking for a foundation that can cover up imperfections, then give a go at the bottled one instead, for it gives a great finish.

Now in terms to the availability of both, you can find the release at all THE FACE SHOP's outlets nationwide, but for further details, you can find out more on their Official Website and Facebook Page as well.
