Christmas Vibes with Etude House's limited edition Play Colour Eye Mini Palette in The Red-Nosed Reindeer

When Etude House launched its Christmas 2019 Rudolph, Coming to Town Collection, I remember the first thing that intrigued me about the release was this particular palette. Now this is the limited-edition Play Colour Eye Mini Palette from the range and it comes in 2 different sets of colour stories called 'Pulling The Sleigh' and 'The Red-Nosed Reindeer', both of which are retailing at RM80 each.

The one that we have here is called 'The Red-Nosed Reindeer' and this one has a more red toned color story than the other which as you can see has a more neutral base. Both of these come in 6 tones each and has a good mix of shimmers, glitters, metallics and matte shades.

So what is different about this palette compared to the latter? Well for starters the packaging is definitely unique. This particular one comes with a plush texture that is just like a reindeer's pelt and showcases Rudolph's little antlers, eyes and cute little red nose in between. In terms to the sizing, the palette can fit within the palm of your hand and is easy to carry with you on the go as well.

Now the shades in this palette is absolutely beautiful and I really do feel like when it comes to the formulation, Etude House has really been stepping up their game. Their shimmers are superior here and creates a sort of wet look on the lid which I love, especially when you layer it above the matte or even the metallic tones. However I do want to mention that while this palette is really nice, the shades do mirror the brand's Wine Party Play Color Eyes Palette, so if you have that one already in your corner, you might want to give this one a miss.

Nonetheless, this palette is great and seeing how the color story is laid out (you can do one look using the 3 shades on the left and the other with the 3 shades on the right), you can also utilize it for both day and night. Also if you are into a very fresh K-Pop holiday look as well, then this one would do the job for you nicely too.

On overall, I really do enjoy this palette and I feel like I would make quite a bit of use out of it as the tones are not overly bright  and can suit to many daily wear looks.  Plus I do enjoy palettes that I can bring about with me for application and touch ups as well and seeing as there as a reasonably sized mirror in it, it is pretty much is going to be very user friendly for me on the get go as well.

In the meantime, if you would like to know more about Etude House's Christmas Collection for 2019, you can head over to any Etude House stores near you and check it out, or you can even go online to their Official Site , Lazada or Shopee to have a look as well.
