All about the Samsung S22+ | 1st Impressions & Review

Alright ladies and gents, today we are going to be talking about the Samsung S22+ and having tried out the Samsung S22 already (a post on that will be coming on that soon), we figured that it is about time that we gave a review to its sister phone in the series as well.

So what would you need to know about the S22+?

Well first of all, let's have a look at its size. While the S22 comes in 70.6 x 146 x 7.6mm, the S22+ takes an even bigger form with 75.8 x 157.4 x 7.6mm in dimension. Between the two, it has a slight difference in weight as well with the S22 weighing 167g while the S22+ weighs 197g, together with its battery also coming in with an even bigger capacity at 4500mAh battery.

Now the design still remain the same however, with the curved edges and sleek overview of the camera packaged together with its glass paneling at the back; but it like the Samsung S22, it has the option of 4 shades to choose from, which are in Phantom White, Phantom Black, Green and Pink Gold for its color selection.

So now, in terms to its storage capacity, Samsung has provided 2 variants (similar to the S22), in 128GB | 8GB and 256GB | 8GB. Each of these retail respectively at RM4,099 and RM4,299. The device also has the Dynamic AMOLED 2X display that has received a certification from VDE Germany for 100 percent Mobile Color Volume for vivid colors regardless of differing levels of brightness; along with its display being able to achieve peak brightness of up to 1750 nits.

As for its Nightography performance, it was very immersive and smooth, especially with its brightness and fast-acting AI that delivers near instant intelligent processing. The video is really good too as the S series has the OIS correction angle to stabilise your shots, while Super HDR adjusts the color frame by fame to keep everyone in it looking clear and good.

Additionally, what we find most impressive for the S Series, is that the phone has VisionBooster that outshines the sun. This to us is a very impressive aspect as the sun can be quite glaring at times, and with this improvement, we can very see clearly the contents of our phone, without the sun reflecting its glare on to us. We also should mention that we also enjoy the Fast Charge that the phone has to offer - for with less than an hour charge, it would be at full capacity, and not only that, but even with a full, good daily use, the device would also last beyond 24 hours too.

On overall, the S22+ is a great phone and we have to say that the S series in general for photography (be it day or night) and videography is solid (we will discuss more on this in our next upcoming post) but in the meantime, if you would like to know more details, you can always head on over to Samsung's Official Website and Instagram as well.
