When we had attended the latest YSL Libre launch back ins 2022, we got a little intrigued on the original that was released in 2019. We had learnt that a lot of people really enjoyed the fragrance, however as it was quite hyped, we didn't really buy into trying it until recently.
Now packaging wise, the YSL Libre Eau De Parfum oozed with rich elegance, one which you would not only be proud to display on your vanity, but also carry around. We opted to try the 30ml as it was travel friendly but the brand also had 60ml and 100ml for preference as well to add into the collection.
The scent reflects a rather citrusy fragrance, coupled with a rather lovely lavender combination. It is extremely aromatic and fresh too and has the impact of being a rather feminine scent in a very bright and modern way.
In terms of its wearability factor, we would have to say that the perfume lasts for about 6-7 hours on the skin and has its wearability stages; from its first impression spritz to its long lasting end of the day scent; for it starts out sweet and fruity but the longer you would wear it, it becomes a much gentler scent winding down. We figure that this is due to the fragrance's notes factor which will be listed below but all in all, it is a lovely fragrance to wear that is well worth its hype.
- Top Notes: lavender, mandarin orange, black currant and petitgrain
- Heart Notes: lavender, orange blossom and jasmine
- Base Notes: Madagascar vanilla, musk, ambergris and cedar.
