When it comes to my skincare routine, I am often quite particular when new products reach the table. This is not due to being fussy or such but it is to ensure  that each one that comes get a fair share of tryouts, evaluation and opinion. After all, you can only put so much product on one face right?


So given that when last month Shu Uemura latest Blanc: Chroma Cleansing Oil and Essence launched, it took a month of sampling, I can finally lay out my assessment on these two products for you.

As I am quite sure you have seen Shu Uemura's cleansing oils in their stores all lined up in a pretty row, this particular one girls is a rave favorite of mine. Seriously, its amazing. Not only does it cleanse makeup with a double cleansing routine at one go (with no stinging sensation I might add) but this first volcanic clay cleansing oil also has this exfoliating technique which I love. You will know what I mean in the steps below. Definitely one of my favorite products of the month.

Directions:

Step 1: Use dry hands or a cotton pad and put a four pumps of  the Shu Uemura Brightening & Polishing Gentle Cleansing Oil.

Step 2: Wipe the pad gently over the face; swiping from the center of your face outwards.

Step 3: When all the makeup/ residue is out, take warm water and gently massage it in circular motion on your face. You will see a milky liquid which is the cleansing part of the routine.

Step 4: Rinse if off and pat down with a towel. It's that simple!

Ah those unbalanced skin tones. Whatever can you do with them? Well with using Shu Uemura's Chroma4 Clarifying Essence, there was a significant amount of improvement in just one week. I found this particularly astounding as one week is a small amount of time for a product to improve a skin tone so much; so imagine my amazement as the product continued its revolutionary works in four weeks. Completely blown away, let me tell you.


Specifically, there is not much of a direction in telling you how to go about using this clarifying essence so instead I am just going to say that you can use it after applying your lotion of choice. An appropriate amount of two to three pumps is more than enough and once you have the product out, simply apply it gently to your skin for a much brighter and radiant look.

Overall thoughts on the products

Overall, I feel like these products are a must have in your makeup cabinet. I honestly don't know where I have been without them. but as you can see, after usage; the products have really proven its worth. (Might want to enlarge the picture for a closer look)

The Results

I have actually heard a lot of good things about Shu Uemura's skincare (the cleansing oils especially) but as I didn't have the chance to try them out I couldn't fully understand what the hype was about. Boy, was I living under a rock. Anyway for the price point; you can find them below as well.
