I love how Make Up For Ever comes out with new releases that makes the inner makeup junkie in me squeal in delight. Now we all know that the Ultra HD Collection which was released in 2015 was a huge hit, but now the brand has blessed us with two brand new, additional products called the skin and lip boosters.

The Skin Booster

The Applicator

Prepping the skin for better makeup application, these two new items have hydrating and moisturizing properties; thus assisting to plump and prepare both skin and lips for a flawless finish.


The first one that we have here is the Skin Booster Treatment which comes with a quaint little dropper and comes in the shade 00 Universal and 01 Cinema. The formulation for this is extremely smooth and it penetrates into the skin rather quickly without leaving a lingering fragrance or a sticky consistency behind.

The Lip Booster 

Doe Foot Applicator

As for the lip booster, it is sort of reminiscent of a gloss as can see from its applicator, but because of its soft paddle handle, it is quite easy for it to be swiped on the lips. It glides on the lips very nicely and while it does give any cracked textures a great relief due to its moisturizing properties, it will not make any chapped bits disappear, hence a good scrub is always recommended beforehand.

After Prep | With Foundation

So this is after prepping the skin with both items and layering on the Ultra HD Foundation in shade Y345. This was taken under natural light and as can be seen, the application here looks pretty flawless. I especially like the fact that my lips look very plumped too, which for me is a really great thing.

The Revamped Version

In Shade Banana

Seeing that of course prepping was not enough, I went in with Make Up For Ever's Ultra HD Microfinishing Powder in Banana. Ideal for medium to tan skin tones, this newly revamped version has two other shades, which is the one in translucent and another in peach.


It gives the skin an even, natural looking matte coverage with its ultra fine texture and what I personally like about it is that it blurs out most of your fine lines, thus giving a very unfiltered perfection for all skin tones.

Full Makeup On

Overall, the new additions from Make Up For Ever is absolutely amazing and with continuous usage, I definitely seem to be liking them more and more. After all, the combination of skincare and makeup can never lead you astray so what is there to lose?
