What you need to know | Physician's Formula ABC Cushion Foundation

Physician's Formula latest cushion

Physician's Formula introduced to us their ABC Cushion Foundation last week and the first thing that the most of us took notice of when we had our first look at it was that the packaging was on point. It was a lightweight compact, with a cushion type design as a cover and a cooling blue hue to top it off.

What to know

Now we all know that Physicians Formula is pretty much on point with their packaging in terms of every product launch (you remember their Happy Booster Glow Blush right?) but since this was their very first Mineral Wear Talc Free, All In 1 Cushion Foundation, we were certainly quite interested to see what the product had in store for us; or more importantly how the coverage of this would be.

So right off the bat, the description states that the product has a weightless mineral formula that provides the multi-tasking benefits of an alphabet cream with the gentle, flawless, skin perfecting effect of minerals. It instantly corrects visible imperfections, blurs fine lines and pores with a perfected airbrush finish as well.

The two shades available (Left: Light ; Right: Light | Medium)

Now seeing that this only comes in two shades (BB + CC Benefits in Light & Light/Medium), there is not much of a variety to play with, but considering the fact that this cushion foundation is hypoallergenic, paraben free, gluten free, cruelty free and fragrance free, we have to give Physicians Formula a major thumbs up for the effort because these are great aspects to have in a product on top the fact that this cushion has SPF50 as well.

However in terms of texture it is light to medium coverage which is accurately stated in its description, but what is great with it is that it is buildable as well. There is a cooling sensation when you apply it on, though it was found that application was much better with a foundation brush rather than the puff given.

As you can see, the product is not overly dewy, neither is it too matte; so it settles down to a nice finish. Shiny areas weren't visible and what was really lovely was that the product only sets on the surface hence you needn't worry about the formulation clogging pores or irritating the skin in any way.

On overall, the product is nice as it gives great natural coverage but due to the limited shades available, I would say that it would be best suited to fairer skin tones. As for its retail, it is available at all Watsons stores at RM82.90. In the meantime for further details, you can visit Physician's Formula on their Official Facebook Page for more information.
