On the Urban Decay Heat |
To the palette that has been getting one of the most controversial attention lately, we are going to be taking a closer look and discussing the nitty-gritty details about the Urban Decay Naked Heat. This is the 5th addition to the Naked series by Urban Decay and seeing that this palette is the inclusion for the Summer 2017 collection, Urban Decay is indeed turning up the heat with this one and providing us with 12 beautiful textures of 7 matte and 5 shimmers shades.
The Packaging |
Now in terms of the packaging, it is most certainly not the slimmest palette out there, but following closely to the aesthetics of the Naked Collection, its design is certainly quite appealing and has an ombre fiery effect. There is a good mix of both lid and transition shades; and while the product leans on the orange and red end of the color spectrum, the textures perform well and gives beautiful pigment that is extremely easy to blend.
The Palette |
There is a big mirror within which is always a huge plus as it makes the palette easier to travel with, plus you would find that the exterior is quite hardy as well as it does not really invite much damage to the palette if you were to accidentally drop it. Aside from that, the brush that comes with it is also pretty decent, and picks up the shadows well without much fall out while fitting comfortably into each of the pans set within the palette.
The 12 shades |
However in terms of the controversy that we are certain that many have you seen online, let us be the one to put those rumors to rest. Now with regards to the shades that you get in the palette, we do agree that they are not completely all that unique. However the colors compliment each another beautifully for a good summer eye look, and both the quality and texture found in the palette is most definitely up to par as well.
On the lids |
Now while finger swatches are not going to be showing you much on how the palette really performs, we have them here on the lids where as you can see the shimmers giving a serious hint of shine. The mattes are very creamy as well, and there is not much kickback to be seen as you dip the makeup brush into the palette, which of course is always a positive on our end.
On Overall |
As for the longevity of the shadows, it is always best to have your lids primed before hand but even without them, we found that they lasted very well and has up to 6 hours of wear with minimal creasing without any form of touching up.
On overall, we are won over with this palette. From textures to pigmentation to color, Urban Decay did a bang up job with this one for Summer. Retailing at RM 230 at both Sephora in stores and online plus Urban Decay nationwide, you can certainly check up for more updates on their Facebook Page for more information.

ReplyDeleteUrban Decay's palettes are all so pretty yet so pricey too LOL! But the packaging and the shades are all worth it in my opinion.
