Mermaid Nail Tutorial

So as promised here is the mermaid nail tutorial for your creative pleasure.

So without further ado, let's go straight into it.

First, the six main things that you will need:

Sally Hansen Strengthening Nail Polish Remover

Soft Cotton Squares

A Strong Base Coat
This is a good one to start off with

The Main Nail Lacquer
O.P.I "Catch Me In Your Net"

Shimmery Transparent Decoration Dust
"Blue Palace"

A shiny long-lasting top coat

Above are the six items you will need to create your mermaid nail look. Of course you can always play around with your base and top coat :) However, the O.P.I  "Nail Envy" along with the " Blue Place" top coat have worked very well for me in the past, so these are the ones I am going to stick to in this tutorial.

Step 1:

Clean your nails of any excess polish or dirt with the Soft Cotton Squares using"Sally Hansen Strengthening Nail Polish Remover"

Step 2:
Place a thin layer of "O.P.I Nail Envy" over your nails for a strong base.
It also gives your nails ample of protection.

Step 3:
Using the  O.P.I "Catch Me In Your Net" place a thin first layer on your nail.
Let it dry for 5 minutes.

Step 4:
Once the first layer is dry - apply a second layer for stronger color intensity

Step 5:

Using your fingers, take a little bit of the decorative dust and gently pat on to your nail until you get the desired look.
Wait another 5 minutes for it to dry.

Step 6:
Create the final touch with a shiny top coat.

And you are done! 6 simple steps to create this shimmery mermaid nail look.

Keep in mind that it is important to use a good top coat for finishing touches - because some top coats tend to shrink designs and cause some bubbles in between your nail varnish which is not very pretty to look at.

Please also take note that it's best to apply thin layers of nail polish to your nail to avoid your designs from being thick and lumpy. This will also help your nail color to dry much faster.

Anyway I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and have lots of fun trying it out :)

Till next time :)

Xx
