Hishop X Bloop Cosmetics Nail Polish and Nail Strips Review

It has been some time since I did a nail polish review for you girls but now it is time because just take a guess at what is in the market for the brand New Year?

I am sure that many of you would like to make a bold statement for your nails this coming 2014, so let's take a look at Bloop, the nail polish line that has the 'Imagination and Beautification of the Outer Sphere.'

Bloop Nail Polish in Neon Orange

First and foremost, a warm thank you to Hishop Malaysia and Bloop Cosmetics for allowing me to do this lovely review for them. Much love to you both :)

The Hishop Pack

As I peeked inside the Hishop Package when it arrived, I noted that I was sent 2 nail strips and a nail polish color in the shade of Neon Orange; Color Code H212. So to begin, let's test them out and see if they live up to our expectations shall we? :)

#1 Bloop Cosmetics Nail Polish Review

Starting off with Clean Nails

Step 1: Start yourself off with clean nails. If you are removing previous nail colors like me; clean your nails with the nail polish remover and buff them neatly.

This is to create a flawless surface to apply your new nail polish color on.

Testing out the color consistency

Step 2: Take out the nail polish, read the description and test out the consistency.

The 3 main things that we need to take from this is that the color dries quickly, it has an ultra glossy finish and is long-lasting.

Application after 1 layer of nail polish

Step 3 : Apply the nail polish. Before application, I decided to apply one thin layer of polish on my pinky and 2 layers on my pointer finger.

This is to see if the color consistency was thin enough for a smooth and more flawless looking finish instead of a clumpy one.

Results: I honestly preferred the application with just 1 coat. The color is a little thick and looks a little rough when 2 coats of nail polish are applied. As for the Glossy Finish as stated on the packaging; the Neon Orange looked a little matte after the color had set on each nail. It did have a little shine though so not bad.

Highlights: Now this color sets extremely fast. I would say that by 2 minutes it would be completely dry. So if you are looking for a color that sets quickly  before rushing for an appointment, this nail polish brand is perfect for you :)

#2 Bloop Cosmetics Nail Strips Review

What it consists

And now the nail polish strips. On the back of the packaging, Bloop Cosmetics has actually taken the additional initiative to include a 3-step tutorial for first timers to guide them on how to apply on the nail strip.

When unboxed, you would also find a small nail file together with the nail strip. As you can see I received a pretty white pattern along with a pink nail file.

Truth to be told, I was extremely eager to try this on the day itself but the day before I had received this package, I had just cut and shaped my nails short.

And when I mean short; I mean REALLY short. So I had to wait for about 2 weeks for it to grow out and then only I decided to go ahead and sample these gorgeous patterns.

The Nail Strip Pattern

With regards to Nail Strips, I have actually sampled them from other brands before but because of it I was a little hesitant to try the Bloop Nail Strips when I saw it in the parcel.

This was because I had thought them to be made of the paper material that are often seen in local drugstores; and let me tell you; it is not as easy as it looks to put them on. However, when I took them out of the casing, it reminded me of the light gel sticker which had a more easier application to it and this eased me tremendously and kept me pretty happy.

Application of the Nail Strip

Step 1: Once you have removed the protective seal from the Nail Strip, choose the strip closest to your nail size and slowly peel it out.

As this will stick to you nail easily, match it to the side of your nail first and slowly slide it over to the other end. Please remember that as this is a nail sticker, it might crease if you do it too quickly so press it down lightly as you roll it over to the other end of your nail.

After filing down the nail strip

Step 2: With your nail file, gently file over your nail following it's shape and slowly remove the access nail strip. You will then receive the look that you desire :)

Highlights: This Nail Strip by Bloop Cosmetics is by far one of the best strips that I have ever tried. Easy application, does not crease easily and pretty lasting for those that are constantly doing things. Loving this!

#3 Additional Steps

From Left: Shimmery Decoration Dust and a Quick Drying Top Coat from Seche Vite

If you would like to glam up your nails for a more New Year Look like what I am doing, get a Shimmery Decoration Dust (I got mine from Blue Palace) and a Quick Drying Top Coat. The best one that is currently in the market that I highly recommend is Seche Vite.

Application

Paint your nail with the quick drying top coat for a more glossy finish. Allow it to set for 15 seconds and dip the tip of your nail into the Shimmery Decoration Dust.

Go over one more time with the Top Coat for a smoother finish and you are done! Pretty simple right?

Complete Nail Look to Welcome the New Year!

I find that the nail strip comes in handy especially to those that enjoy doing DIYs at home. Coming in at an affordable price range, you can find the Bloop Cosmetics Nail Strips at Watsons or at local stores around.
