The Beauty Launch of Marc Jacobs at Sephora Malaysia

It's been a long time coming but Marc Jacobs has finally launched it's collection on the 18th of April at Sephora Starhill.

Seeing that it has been only two weeks since it's launch, Sephora stores have had scores of high risen sales ; particularly the Highliner Gel Eye Crayon valued at RM82 which I was told had sold out eight days since it's launch. Impressive.

Keeping in mind that this has been a long-awaited beauty collection that has been the talk of the town for some time now it is indeed no wonder that the Marc Jacobs beauty line has been getting overwhelming adoration from its fans.

Usually known for it's dazzling fashion and bold statements, we would assume that Marc Jacobs' beauty collection would mirror similar patterns; the beautiful shimmer and signature polka dots.


So similarly the packaging did not disappoint; with it's sleek black casing with well rounded curves which was inspired by Marc Jacobs' love for his glossy high-polished black lacquer table that he owned at home.

I was a little surprised that there was not so much of the signature polka dots shown in the packaging but I guess that was more to be seen on the palette shape of the product along with the little button clasp at the edge.

LoveMarc Lip Gel Collection - 12 shades; RM95

Admittedly the very first thing I went for was Marc Jacobs' LoveMarc Lip Gel Collection which consisted for 12 pigmented shades that came in Marc Jacobs' signature black case with a magnetic clasp.

I am a sucker for lipsticks so I was immediately drawn towards it's thick and creamy consistency and even bought myself a beautiful nude shade called 'Moody Margot'. I have yet to try it but once I do I will let you know how the product fares.


Funnily though the shade 'Showstopper' was the only one in a red packaging; which I believe Marc Jacob wanted to highlight it as being the perfect shade of red for any given lip. Gorgeous color though.

Meeting Marc Jacobs International Education Specialist; Melissa Laughrey-Taieb

Meeting Melissa Laughrey-Taieb, Marc Jacobs International Education Specialist was an immense pleasure for she was extremely friendly and was always ready to answer any questions that we had for her. I even heard that she flew all the way from Miami for this event and had to head to Singapore the very next day. Hated the rush but got to love her.

After learning four different looks with the four different types of Marc Jacobs Eye-Con No.7 Palette from Miss Melissa Laughrey I have to say that absolutely loved every bit of the Marc Jacobs Beauty Collection.


I am now trying my best to get my hands on the Eye-Con No.7 Palette 'The Starlet' and the awesome Genius Gel Foundation  which I have heard so much about but as their products seem to be selling out pretty quickly I think it is always to best to leave your order with Sephora just in case the products that you want is out of stock.
