Glamglow's Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment and Tinglexfoliate YouthMud Treatment Review

I know that this has been a long time coming, but it's high time we took a good look at Hollywood celebrity favorite skincare, Glamglow. I have always been one for a good hydrating treatment so when I heard that the latest "Thirstymud" product was launching in Malaysia for Glamglow; you could say that I was one of the first to jump up on the bandwagon to check it out.

Glamglow's Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment

I will give an overall review here as the "How-To" testimony of the product will be inserted to my video log below but for all of you that have not been acquainted with Glamglow's fantastic results; let me give you a quick liberation.

Now we all know that Glamglow has been somewhat of a sensation ever since it hit retail stores in 2011 but what we seemed to miss was it's back-story of how it was founded in 2010 by Glen and Shannon Dellimore.  Notably known that it was made exclusively  for those behind the scenes in the Hollywood Entertainment, Music, Fashion and Award Industries, Glamglow actually started out at Glenn and Shannon's home in Hollywood Hills.

The creation of Glamglow began with a little discussion between friends when one of them (Keanu Reeves, dare you believe it?) made a comment that he could not source for a product that could make his skin instantly camera ready, reducing pore and dealing with sun damage while instantly producing a noticeable glow that would last for days to come.

Swatching on Glamglow's Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment

So since the discussion, Glamglow products came into production and were specifically designed to target those whims and after testing out the product on some well known actors, it was soon used to ensure camera-ready natural glowing skin for A-List celebrities.

Ever since then, it has taken the world by storm with it's launch in 84 countries in over 6,000 stores with luxury boutique, spa professional back bar and in room hotels in 18 months. It is also the only skincare company to be located in the 'Stars Walk of Fame' in Hollywood.

Group Shot at the Launch

So now since you know the overview of the brand; let's get on to the swatch and review. Previously tested during the launch of Glamglow's Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment at Sephora Sunway Pyramid,  I am going to treat all of you with a brief clip on what went out during the event along with an overall review on Glamglow Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment.

As mentioned in the video above, Glamglow gives off a rather cooling feel after the application and I suppose this was due to the hydrating ingredients that was packed into the product along with that soothing coconut oil and honey scent .

Usually noted for assisting dry and flaky skin, Glamglow's Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment provides deep instant hydration for long, medium and short term results which is fantastic for those looking for a good fix in terms of keeping the skin moisturized.

Items Used:

1. 1x Glamglow's Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment
2. 2x Bobby Pins
3. 1x Cosmetic Brush
4. 1x Clean bamboo fiber face towel
5. 1x A Stopwatch

How To Use:

1. Ensure your face is cleansed and dry.
2. Pin up your hair to avoid whisps of it being in your face.
3. Take a clean cosmetic brush and dip into Glamglow's Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment.
4. Apply a thin layer and leave on for 10 minutes (if you would like to; you can leave it on for 20 minutes during the day; or as an overnight mask at night.
5. Cleanse your face with water and wipe clean.

Before and After Shots

After usage, I can vouch for it's instant results after the duration of 10 minutes in terms of the tightening of pores and glowing skin. Application was really light weight and the level of absorption of moisture to the skin is pretty fantastic. So technically overall clause for this is an A+ on my end.

Price: RM240

Now since the rave of Glamglow started off with it's Tinglexfoliate YouthMud Treatment, I thought I would do a little comparison between the two. After all, what better way to figure out which would would suit best for the skin?

As you can see from the footage about, the Tinglexfoliate YouthMud is a little different from the ThirstyMud Hydrating Treatment in terms of skin concerns and properties. Targeted to those who are looking to achieve even and more brighter looking skin, the Tinglexfoliate YouthMud aims to give a more youthful appearance by gentle resurfacing exfoliation.

Items Used:

1. 1x Glamglow's Tinglexfoliate YouthMud Treatment
2. 2x Bobby Pins
3. 1x Cosmetic Brush
4. 1x Clean bamboo fiber face towel
5. 1x A Stopwatch

How To Use:

1. Ensure your face is cleansed and dry.
2. Pin up your hair to avoid whisps of it being in your face.
3. Take a clean cosmetic brush and dip into Glamglow's Tinglexfoliate YouthMudTreatment.
4. Gently apply a layer and leave on for 10 minutes.
5. Cleanse your face with water and wipe clean.

To be honest, after usage my skin felt a little rough (this is due to my issue of having dry skin don't worry) but after a good five minutes the texture ceased and it was all good. A good way to utilize this mask is to use it on your face at least once a week for good exfoliation.

Weight: 50g
Price: RM240
Availability: All Sephora Stores

However comparing the two I have to say that I would be leaning more towards the Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment rather than the Tinglexfoliate due to the fact that my skin would have a greater need of having more moisturizing properties rather than exfoliating ones.

Before and After Shots

In terms of living up to it's name of glowing skin; both match up pretty well to their descriptions so having instant camera ready skin is now well within reach.

Even though admittedly both are quite pricey on their end but if you would like to have great skin; why now give this a go? It's a great buy which will benefit in your skin in the long run; so if you want healthy and glowing skin; this would be a great investment to go into.

Xx!

  3. You are just as gorgeous with a bare face, Shivani! Seriously, you have such a good face for a mask review - absolutely nothing to hide. But then, you look good in EVERYTHING.

The Glam Glow looks fun, pricey but fun but I guess good things don't come cheap.
