Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow Launch

Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow Launch

Make Up For Ever has done it again with a spectacular launch of it's latest 210 shades from it's Artist Shadow range. Being the color expert in the makeup industry since 1984, eye-shadows have always been the iconic unveil that started out in the professional industry with each being hand-pressed and made entirely in the artisan fashion.

The array of colors

Initially wanting to begin the launch with over 500 shades; Danny Sanz the Creator and Artistic Director for Make Up For Ever  decided to offer profusion rather than consorting to an overwhelming response.

Hence after three years of formulation to perfect the quality of the shadows; Make Up For Ever's latest revolution shadows showcases amazing pigments from crystallizing shimmer to extraordinary sheens that are versatile and applicable to both the common user along with professional artists.

Pigments by MUFE

Keeping to point that the new Artist Shadow collection comes in a great array of colors; Make Up Fore Ever created these intense hues in five different effects which are in Matte, Satiny, Iridescent, Diamond and Metallic.

The five effects (From Top left: Matte, Satiny, Iridescent, Diamond and Metallic)
Swatch
Matte:
Contains no pearlized particles; heavy pigment and has zinc oxide & talc to ensure optimum hold.

Satiny:
Has water blend technology and pigment atomization. Intensity and sheen comes from the mother of pearl effect.

Iridescent:
Has a strong color payoff and comes with water blend technology and pigment atomization. Intensity is similar to Satiny.

Diamond:
Has a less color payoff but more sparkle to the hues. Brings purity and evenness to the color when swatched and is easily blendable. Comes with water blend technology and pigment atomization.

Metallic:
Great metallic finish and shine. Provides a strong color payoff and comes with water blend technology and pigment atomization. Color stays on well and is easily buildable and blendable.

One of my favorite hues

Having Make Up For Ever's Regional Education Manager from the Philippines Ms. Erica Saenz is a constant pleasure and showing us the best way to do the application and tutorial was amazing. I will not be getting into it as much as I have compiled a video below to showcase how it was done; but let's just say that Ms. Saenz will be signifying two looks; one upward gradient and another sideways gradient.

Tutorial

Based on the swatches that we did during the launch; there was absolutely no loss of pigment nor was there fallout throughout the application and after. Admittedly the diamond shade did lose it's hint of shimmer after a good 5 hours but I still think that the result was absolutely fantastic. Keep in mind that these swatches were done without the use of a primer.

With the girls (From Left: Myself, Chency, Angeline and Carolyn)

With a generous amount spread over each eyeshadow pan; you can be ensured that the colors will last you for years to come. However as each color comes individually in a plastic cover; you can make a choice to purchase a separate casing for RM20. Of course prices vary on the choice of single, double and triple pan casing.
