A'kin Purist Face Care Range Review

I have actually heard quite a bit about the Australian owned brand, A'kin since it's introduction in the leading specialist retailer, TNS Skinlab. With over 15 years of heritage in creating natural, safe and effective products, all of their products are vegan and are cruelty free.


Not only that, these pioneers of natural skin and hair care products have a passion for pure, natural and effective ingredients along with a genuine concern about the ingredient safety in it's personal care products.

First up we have A'kin Rose and Geranium Pure Facial Creamy Cleanser and Toner. Best to note before we start is that when opting between gel and cream cleansers especially when you have dry skin, it is always best to go for cream based ones for gentle removal as gel types might give your skin a harsh dry after effect.

The Texture

Now if I am not mistaken, this cleanser was already cleanly sold out at TNS Skin Lab last I checked and after using it, I can completely understand why. Certified with organic Australian avocado oil, shea butter and olive squalane, this creamy cleanser is a dream and gives a great moisturized feel to the skin after being cleansed and rinsed.


To be honest, I didn't really expect much of it at first but after usage, you could say that it is my current go to cleanser that I take with me wherever I go. It has wonderful formulation, easy application and quick rinse all packed into one. What's not to love?

Next up is A'kin Pure Radiance Rosehip Oil Certified Organic. Applicable to be used as a moisturizer or a serum, my brain kicked into full gear when trying to see how well the product would absorb into the skin and how it would correct the dryness of my skin.

The Texture

Admittedly applying more than just a drop of the A'kin Pure Radiance Rosehip Oil Certified Organic did worry me a little as the fear of looking a tad oily after did take into effect. However after application, my complexion had a very balanced dewy glow along with it feeling more hydrated and smooth without the after effect of having a waxy layer of oil.


Nonetheless to be honest, when first applied, my skin did have a slight reaction to the product and caused little bumps across the dry patches on my face. I think this was due to the dehydration I had been dealing with for a couple of months but after the second day of use, my skin did settle in to A'kin Pure Radiance Rosehip Oil Certified Organic formulation. So if you have really dry skin like myself, it is something to take a note of before making a purchase.

Why hello there A'kin White Tea and Cornflower Eye Day Gel. This honestly has got to be one of the best eye gels I have used and the absorption to the skin is ridiculously quick. However, I did not take much liking to the scent but no worries on that as the fragrance only lingers for a bit after application.

The Texture

Known for reducing fine lines and wrinkles the A'kin White Tea and Cornflower Eye Day Gel is ideal for those who would like to brighten and tighten the skin around the eyes. Formulated with the concentrated nature of Sambucus Extract and Vitamin C, this product also shows amazing improvement in reducing dark circles as well.

Last but not least is A'kin's Rose de Mai Antioxidant Facial Day Creme. Reducing wrinkles one day at a time, it also has antioxidants that help protect the skin from free radicals and prevents the signs of ageing as well.

The Texture

Enriched with combinations of pure active botanics like Vitamin A, E, B5 and C, the A'kin's Rose de Mai Antioxidant Facial Day Creme works in synergy to hydrate the skin for a healthy and radiant complexion. Admittedly it did take a week to see the results but seeing that my skin rarely flakes or has dry patches anymore, the product does indeed work wonderfully.
