There is so much to say about iconic British designer Zandra Rhodes but her latest collaboration with Karyaneka at KL Fashion Weekend at the National Visual Arts Gallery was nothing short of amazing.

The capsule collection featured pieces designed by Zandra Rhodes using Karyaneka handcrafted fabrics such as batiks, icat and tie-dyed silks together with the showcase of her couture collection for Kuala Lumpur Alta Moda Spring/Summer 2015.

The collaboration between Zandra Rhodes and Karyaneka was announced in September 2014 during the London Fashion Week and the partnership follows Rhodes' visit to Kuala Lumpur last year for the GREAT campaign and the opening of her exhibition entitled "Zandra Rhodes Lifelong Love Affair with Textile" at the National Textile Museum of Malaysia.

Adorning stunning shades of blue

Having designed for legendary icons such as Diana, Pricess of Wales, Jackie Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor and Freddie Mercury of the rock group 'Queen', Zandra Rhodes use of color gives her garments a timeless quality which named her the Designer of the Year in 1972 and the Royal Designer for Industry in 1974.

Continuing to design for the world of royalty to rock stars including Helen Mirren, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kylie Minogue, Anastasia and Paris Hilton, her vintage pieces have long been collected by Tom Ford and Anna Sui and have been worn by Kelly Osbourne, Ashley Olsen, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell as well.
