The NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint
When it comes to NARS, I always say that my heart doesn't need much convincing when it comes to their product range. Their foundations (like Pure Radiant) have been sublime, their multiples amazing, blushers (like Orgasm) are completely out of this world and their audacious lipstick range is beyond compare.
The coverage on back-light
So when it came to the launch of the Velvet Matte Skin Tint (which has been completely raved about everywhere), I was stoked to see what NARS had in store for us.
However a short description of the product first, is that this Velvet Matte Skin Tint comes in 12 shades, has decent sun protection of SPF30 and contains good skincare properties such as Vitamin C and E. The formulation has effortless application with a soft-matte finish which is always nice to have and is completely oil free for an all day wear.
Now by seeing the description, the product shows a lot of promise, but like I have always said, the first swatch and application holds the best impression of the product. So having a little bit of the skin tint on the back of the hand, I begin to blend.
The Coverage Against Natural Light
To my surprise, the coverage was quite high (which is quite unusual in a tint - I mean this in a good way) but it can be built from sheer to medium as well in however you might want to work it. It felt very lightweight and sets off to a beautiful matte finish which honestly looks like it could be a second layer to your original skin-tone.
NARS Spring 2016 Line
In terms of long-wear, I might need to do a more in-depth review ( I will get into that in a couple of days) but with regards to coverage, the NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint looks naturally dimensional which also helps to blur the imperfections and even the skin tone.
However as this does blend out to a natural finish do expect to be able to see some of tiny little imperfections from time to time but if you are going for a natural look, that probably wouldn't bother you as much.
A Closer Look
The launch of the Velvet Matte Skin Tint also came in conjunction with NARS Spring 2016 Collection Line which we will be discussing more on in our next post but as you can see, the shades are beautiful and as always, NARS seem to surprise with stunning pop of colors to compliment.

There are certainly many things for us to look forward to from NARS this Spring 2016 and this line will be available in stores starting February 1st 2016. In the meantime, for further details, you could always head on over to their Official Website for more information.
