Maybelline New York Hyper Glossy Liquid Liners

I think when it comes to eyeliners, a part of me has a rather soft spot for them. To be honest, I have been looking for some really good matte liners for a while but lately I realize that many brands have been trying to up their game with more pigmented eyeliners instead.


As I am a fan of striking hues anyway, I was immediately pulled in by Maybelline's Hyper Glossy Liquid Liners the moment the product hit the Maybelline counters and Watson stores. Plus from what I have seen online, I have noted that there are actually more colors than the ones that I currently have with me but the four hues that I will be reviewing today is the current collection that is available in the Malaysian market at the moment.

Swatches

In terms of application, this ultra glossy formulation comes with a soft flexible brush for easy application that is able to create a clean smudge-proof and waterproof line on your eyes. It's also quite buildable so you can actually play around with it to see how much of intensity you would like to give your look of the day and the best part is that you will also be able to control how thick your strokes are as well.

The Application in Two Simple Steps:

1) Line the lash line from the inner corner to the outer corner of your eye.
2) Repeat for a thicker and more dramatic line.

A Closer Look

With regards to intensity and the hues, it is without a doubt that the shades are extremely pigmented. What you see above is just based on one swatch and these colors do dry pretty fast upon application, glides up easily and is very very glossy. I think that the best part that I loved about Maybelline's Hyper Glossy Liquid Liners was that the colors did not shift at all as well.

The colors available

I would say that it is really hard to choose a favorite among the four but the one that really caught my eye was the glossy shade in Lazer Green. This beautiful aqua green is a showstopper for sure and if you are the type that likes experimenting with striking colors, then this is most definitely the one for you.


Coming at an affordable price tag of RM19.90, this is definitely a great buy and I honestly wished that had more colors made available in the Malaysian market for knowing me, I would probably just purchase the whole batch.
