As most of you already know, I was in Kota Kinabalu last week, and while the tropical trouper in me was in full swing of enjoying the sunshine, beach and the amazing sea breeze, the heat in the afternoon here can be quite overwhelming at times.

|A Closer Look|
Now seeing that it was considered to bring light clothing at the time, I decided to pick up a few pieces that were hidden in the closet, a long slit green emerald pants, a floppy beach hat and a white flowy top with a distinctive cut out checkered design on the neckline. Chic simplicity was the aim and after all, one can never go wrong with a good hat, flowy clothes and a good pair of UV sunglasses at your back and call.
|Protect the skin with a good sunblock as well|
As I am usually not one for a heavy ensemble, it turned out that the outfit worked perfectly, giving the ease of moving about smoothly whilst protecting both the eyes and skin from heavy sun damage. Of course with accordance to this, a good sunblock also comes in handy as well (paired here with Shiseido Perfect UV Protector SPF50+) so that your skin is well prepped and overall protected at all times both in or out of the water if choose to be.
Clothing reference will be displayed below as always but in the meantime, what do you all think of the pairing? The two key items here (both pants and the top) was from H&M's Conscious Collection, and I have to say that I am really liking their designs as of late. The display of effortless, trendy and chic is certainly one for the taking don't you think?
