Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette Review

Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette

Sephora's Spring 2018 brought a smile to many, for as seen during its press preview, it showcased a stunning array of new releases to our door. One of its highlights was the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette, that was a part of the brand's Gold Makeup Collection launch; and the palette itself consisted of 16 cocoa infused shades, all of which were a play of both metallic and matte tones.

The Packaging
The Shades Within

As can be seen, the packaging here speaks volumes. Its presentation is elegant and classic, and with melted gold dripping down from its side, it is simply a lovely way to introduce the palette on an overall scale. Plus while opening it up, you would notice that it also comes with a generous sized mirror, which we found was only made better with a delicious scent of chocolate that came with it.

Now with this palette, you would find that there are 12 metallic shades within, while the remaining 4 are matte. However while this may be, the finishes are the two are light and smooth, and they both apply seamlessly on the lids without being too powdery or cakey. They are also a dream to blend and there was absolutely no fall out between the two as well.

However a good tip on applying on the metallics, is to get a good glitter primer (or you can opt for the Too Faced Glitter Glue) to have a more stronger, desired effect. This would work great for dramatic and bolder looks, but if you are looking for something more natural, then you could either leave it as it is or use a simple eye-shadow primer of choice.

On Overall

Essentially, the pairing of tones in the palette was great and the experience of using it did not disappoint. The shades were not chunky and looked wonderful on the eyes, and the best part of it all was that they were long lasting as well. In the meantime for further details, you could always head on over to Sephora's Official Website to check the collection out, or pay a visit to your nearest Sephora outlet to view the textures or swatch the colors. On overall, it is definitely worth taking a look at.
