Lancome's Advanced Genefique Youth Activating Concentrate

On this beautiful Tuesday, I am going to share my thoughts about one of Lancôme's best selling products which is the Advanced Genefique Youth Activating Concentrate. Many beauty bloggers claimed that this product is their holy grail to youthful skin so finally after two weeks of constant usage, I am going to do a full on review to see whether it has lived up to it's expectation.

After 14 years of research, a newer and improved version of the original Lancôme's Genifique was finally introduced and thus called 'Advance Genefique'. Launched globally in early 2013, this latest formulation aims to bring out the best of youth in the skin so it suits extremely well to people who are slightly past their 20s but still under the age of 40s or 50s. So technically, this could be your perfect solution if you are somewhat middle-aged like me.


The innovative formula is known for it's hydrating purposes and features Genifique's powerful complex of the added biotechnology ingredients,which provide the skin with 10 signs of youth targeting skintone, texture, elasticity, resiliency, firmness, fine lines, sagginess, radiance, wrinkles and clarity.

In terms of it's packaging, Lancôme never fails and the Advanced Genefique Youth Activating Concentrate is of no exception. The youth activating concentrate is kept in a Lancôme's glossy glass bottle and retails at RM275 for a full sized 30ml.


Enriched with 40% new active ingredients as opposed to it's predecessor, the Advance Genifique has been formulated to boost signs of youthfulness as well as to help skin's recovery during the day and night. It is said that from the first few drops, the skin will begin looking smoother and more luminous but after seven days, it will look younger and more rejuvenated.


However to reach optimum results, it's full usage pushes to after eight weeks where the signs of youthful looking skin will begin to appear improved as proven in clinical testing under a dermatologist control.

After sampling it for two weeks, the Advance Genifique lives up true to it's description and gives the skin a much smoother and youthful feel. However like all beauty and skincare products, you do have to give this time to work.


I usually use this at night after my toner as it helps moisturize my skin straight after my deep cleansing routine. I also adore the applicator that Lancôme has incorporated here as it is a self-loading dropper that extracts just the right amount of product that covers well over the entire face.

Formulation wise, it has a clear consistency that absorbs extremely fast into the skin. After blending it does not leave the skin with a sticky residue but rather gives it a very smooth and soft finish. As mentioned above, boosting hydration is one of the things the Advanced Genefique is known for and I find that after usage, my skin has become a little more brighter and even toned than before.


I think what I was happiest about when I sampled the Advance Genefique was when I found out that the fine lines at the corner of my eyes were visibly reduced.  This did take some time though as I only saw the visible improvement after nine days but as you can imagine, I was pretty joyous with the results. However only optimum usage will be able to tell how  good the this Advance Genefique will work in the long run but as far as I can see, the outcome was already pretty fantastic to me.
