Malaysia Fashion Week 2014: Part 2, Bridal Collection

Following up to the first post that we did on Malaysia Fashion Week 2014, let's move on to one of the most anticipated fashion shows that many of us were eager to see; The Bridal Collection. Held at Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), four of our Malaysian designers were showcased and hence below are the pictures for all to see.


Malaysia Fashion Week (MFW) 2014

As mentioned in our earlier article, the fashion shows were spread out within the last two days after the launch, hence we are going to be splitting the coverage to three separate posts. Fashion designer Alvin Tay from Malaysia needs no introduction from his vast experience of being in the fashion industry for the past 19 years. Bringing out the best in women; his designs for bridal wear oozes structural elegance and beautiful silhouettes along with a hint of floral colors.

Having recently opened his boutique along the busy roads of Jalan Maarof, the celebrated wedding dress designer Dominique Chan showcased his latest designs at Malaysia Fashion Week 2014. Simplicity and elegance are what makes these gowns and we'd have to say that each design simply accentuates red carpet glamour.

Setting his designs apart from the rest; fashion designer Carven Ong decided to amp out his one of a kind bridal wear with beautiful headgears this Malaysia Fashion Week 2014. Made for the modern bride, Carven Ong's creative designs gives a rather magical feel to those who are looking for something a little different than the ordinary.

In pastel pinks and glitter
The awe inspiring traditional gown
Color playing with soft green pastels
With fashion designer Keith Kee

Keith Kee's designs are timeless; with sweet pastel shades and tiny hints of glitter all around. You can find some forms of local tradition in his designs and floral and lace definitely plays a big part here as well. With the use of soft materials and multiple shades of color, his styles attracts both the traditional classic and modern women.

Overall, this sums up our second post for the MFW's Fashion Showcase. More details will be upcoming in our third feature so do look out for it.
