Shu Uemura X Maison Kitsuné

Shu Uemura X Maison Kitsuné

Teaming up with French fashion house Maison Kitsuné, it looks like Shu Uemura has another winner on their hands. This time round their 2015 Holiday Collection evolves around a fusion of Japanese and French, a mixture that has been influenced by the walks of Paris and Tokyo that reinvents the classics with a variety of colors prints and materials.

The smokey eye and cheek palette
Liners anyone?

If you were to look closely at the collection, you would realize that the little symbols around their pieces revolves around their choice of unity for fashion, music and design. The name "Kitsuné" is the one that holds meaning to a "fox" in Japanese and is a symbol of versatility which in any case, is also the focal point for this collection.

Going from Day to Night

Overall, Shu Uemura's Holiday 2015 Collection has a pretty wide range from limited edition brush sets, drawing pencils, laque sparkle, lip balms, nail enamels, cleansing and nourishing oils, false eyelashes, compact foundation and more but the one that truly draws main focus is their smokey eye and cheek palette.

Featured from Left: Eye Opening Premium Curler, Indigo Palette, Laque Sparkler in Plum Shimmer

If you guys have taken a look at Snapchat, you would know that the one that was received was the Plum palette. Now Shu Uemura has two in this collection, with the other one being Indigo as shown in the picture above.

Holiday shimmers are strongly at play here but if you were to ask on which shades are more pigmented, I would honestly say that in terms of shimmer, the plum palette wins hands down. The Indigo palette has beautiful shades but unfortunately during swatch, the colors did not come out as much as the Plum Palette.

Featured from Left: Plum Palette and Play & Remix Drawing Pencils

In terms of the Play and Remix Drawing Pencils, this for me is a yes yes yes. Beautifully creamy and pigmented; these colors draws seamlessly across the lids. Available in four shades; indigo, plum, gold and silver, you will be able to channel that Paris Tokyo new modernity vibe in no time.

In the meantime, if you would like to take a closer look at Shu Uemura's Maison Kitsuné Collection, you may do so at their stores or on their Official Facebook Page, but just for reference, I have listed down some of the prices just to make things a little easier. Additionally for further details, you can also take a look at Shu Uemura's Official Webpage as well.
