On Indulgence

Hi guys Happy New Year! Bringing in 2016 with warm welcoming arms, lets do our first article on something chilled, soft and of exquisite taste.


Of course I am talking about ice cream here and even though this may not be your typical kind of post that you often read at this page, I wanted to bring into focus this unique indulgence range from Meadow Gold just because I have grown to love these delectable serves which spans out of the ordinary of vanilla and chocolate flavors.

On the four variants

Now more often than not, I am not the type that enjoys anything too overly sweet. I think this would relate more towards those of us who started preferring more savory items to others but the transcending mix of sweetness and additional combinations that was added into this collection is just beautiful.

A Closer Look

There are four types to the Meadow Gold Indulgence Range and each of them have a unique take to their flavors. The first one which is Bold Chocolate Decadence is a combination of rich chocolate chunks and chocolate fudge. There to delight the senses, it has a good balance of sweetness which is simply a great indulgence.


As for the Heavenly Macadamia and Delectable Caramel Pecan, they are a beautiful mixes that are swirled in with our usually spin of vanilla. Yet both of them give a stunning presentation that offers palatable honey-like sweetness with a smooth round that melts wonderfully in your mouth.

The soft textures

Now I am trying very hard to not play favorites but hands down, the best of the batch is the Lush Red Velvet. This beautiful creation is a mix of tiny marshmallows embedded in between soft serves of red velvet ice cream. With celebrated textures to excite the senses, this is the one taste of ice cream that is truly one of a kind.

On the four flavors

All in all, the range of this ice cream from Meadow Gold is stunning and personally, I find that I will be constantly reaching for more, especially when our weather decides to throw a heat tantrum. Plus even after keeping it refrigerated overnight, you will find that after a mere 5 minutes, the ice cream would have soften so you wouldn't need to put too much effort into getting the texture out.


In terms of price point though, each tub retails at RM21.90 inclusive of GST and are available at all supermarkets and hypermarkets in West Malaysia. However if you guys would like specifics (as most stores were out of stock), I did do a quick background check and found out that you can get them at Cold Storage at Jaya 1. They do have most of the stocks there (if you are lucky you may see all four) so that is something to consider if you would want to check them out.
