Now a lot of us have been struggling with skincare issues such as breakouts, acne (maskne), blemishes and more due to having to wear masks whenever we head out for work or to attend to our groceries and appointments. Understandably, this is the new norm that we have to adjust to right now but there is always a way to try and minimise these occurrences from happening, and one of them is to use the right skincare products that would suit well to assist in these issues.
So thus, here we have the Cleanance Comedomed, which is Eau Thermale Avéne latest release, and what it does is that it is a non-oily daily concentrate that assists in fighting and minimising blemishes. It also helps to eliminate spots and blackheads and limits the appearance of new blemishes too.
Now there are 9 ingredients within and the product targets towards those who struggle with breakouts (this can also be for those who have have those aspects combined with normal to combination, dry and sensitive skin). It is formulated to minimise risks of allergic reactions, is fragrance free and is hypoallergenic.
Eau Thermale Avéne Product Ingredience List:
- 65% Avène Thermal Spring Water
- 25% Comedoclastin (an innovative plant based active ingredient derived from Milk Thistle)
- Isopropyl Alcohol
- Peg-6
- Glycerin
- Silybum Marianum Fruit Extract
- Silica
- Polyacrylate-13
- Polyisobutene
- Polysorbate 20
- Sorbitan Isostearate
- Water (aqua)
Now one of the main ingredients, Comedoclastin helps to block the formation of impurities (blackheads, whiteheads and more), so the Cleanance Comedomed works not only on the surface of the skin, but deep within as well. It also is pretty lightweight and has a rather weightless feel to it upon application, so that when you layer makeup or an SPF product on top of it, it won't feel like it's too heavy. It also levels and absorbs into the skin quickly and has a rather hand sanitiser-like scent to it that disappears after 5 minutes.
How Do You Use It?
- Apply to the face morning and evening.
- Best applied after cleanser, toner or serum but before foundation or SPF.
- Can be used alone or in combination with medicinal acne treatments but not with Oral Isotretoin.
Now in terms to how the product performed, we have to say it did pretty well in eliminating and preventing acne because there was a visible difference after just two weeks of use. However, we would recommend that it would be best used on targeted areas where you have blemishes and not completely on the whole face because if you have dry skin, it might dry you out a little more than usual. As for the scent, we didn't mind it much, but do take note that if you are sensitive to fragrance, you might want try it first before purchasing it as the scent is not for everyone. Regardless though, the product did do well in what it was meant to do, so if you would like to know more details on it, then you can check it out at their Official Website in the meantime.
