Neutrogena Bright Boost Review | Yes or No?

This month, we were introduced to Neutrogena's brand new skincare range which was called Bright Boost. This line consists of 3 products,  one which is the Gel Cream, another that is the Illuminating Serum and finally the Resurfacing Polish. Each of these are targeted to make the skin look more radiant, brighten and well nourished. Not only that but it is also suppose to smooth the skin for a more luminous finish as well.

Neutrogena Bright Boost Resurfacing Micro Polish | Retails at RM55

So the first one that we have here is called the Bright Boost Resurfacing Micro Polish. This little dual action exfoliation is meant to removes skin ageing dullness and bring out skin radiance with 3x the polishing power of a normal scrub. Now the dual action exfoliation provides both gentle chemical and physical resurfacing so no worries it is pretty gentle on the skin, plus it is also formulated with naturally derived skin smoothers and Glycolic and Mandalic AHAs to help dissolve impurities of dull skin for a visibly brighter and smoother looking look.

Now seeing as this is formulated with an accelerated brightening complex, Neutrogena has recommended that this is only used from one to three times per week. I also do want to mention that this one has a bit of a scent to it; so while it's not overpowering which is goo, it might cause a bit of irritation to those who have sensitive skin, so just a bit of forewarning before we go into it. As for the texture, this polish does have a more creamy feel to it which is nice, but as it is a rinse off formula, do keep in mind that the hydrating properties within it do have a limit; so while it does clean the skin nicely without drying it out, the hydration achieve here is probably not as much as one would have desired.

Neutrogena Bright Boost Illuminating Serum | Retails at RM94

As for this next one, this is the Illuminating Serum which targets to help restore luminosity to tired-looking and dull skin. Now this product is best used after the Bright Boost Resurfacing Micro Polish which we spoke about above, and this one is naturally derived with Turmeric Extract and Amino Sugar. Targeted to assist in reducing visible imperfections, it also illuminates skin for improved tone, texture and clarity as well. Additionally like the above, this serum is also suitable for all skin tones, alcohol free, oil free and non-comedogenic as well.

As such, the Neutrogena Illuminating Serum comes with a dropper for application which pumps out quite a suitable amount of product to use for the face. Additionally its texture has a milky finish with faint little micro shimmers, plus it smells really nice as well. It feels nice and cooling on the skin and absorbs pretty quickly too. On its own the serum is quite hydrating, but if you would like additional hydration, you can also just top off a little bit of the moisturiser after it as well.

Neutrogena Bright Boost Gel Cream | Retails at RM95

In terms to this finally one, the Gel Cream and this one is a multi-tasking cream that is powered by brightening Amino Sugar  that complements skin cell renewal for a luminous and brighter finish. It is suitable for all skin tones, is oil free, alcohol free and non-comedogenic as well.

Now on the packaging  this one comes in a cute little jar of 50ml and in terms of its texture, it is light and the scent on it is not too heavy which is nice. The only thing I would say about the formulation is that it is a little sticky upon application,  so if that concerns you then only use a small amount for the whole face, but in terms to its moisturising capabilities, it does the job well. Recommended use is twice a day and in terms to its results, I do see visible luminosity and plumpness to the skin which I would thus rate it a good 8 out of ten.

So if you would like to know more about the Neutrogena's latest Bright Boost range, you can go and check them out on their Official Website, but in the meantime for their product availability, you can also find the range at leading pharmacies nationwide like Watsons too.
