One thing that you should know about me is that when it comes to clothes, I absolutely adore straight and flowy cuts, especially materials using sheer chiffon and polyester fabric.
Maybe it's just me but in Malaysia's humid weather, this type of material suits very well especially for those who are looking for something very chic yet comfortable at the same time.
Dorothy Perkins is a brand that I hold dear to my heart as I have been a very big fan of their collections since day one. Perfect fittings with a classy touch, I find that most of their clothes are extremely suitable for daily casuals, work-wear or even for a good night out.

On their recent launch of their Spring Summer Collection 2014, I fell in very much love with their pastel hues, affirming my redemption of a 3/4 sleeve color-block mint polyester roll sleeve shirt and a sky blue pastel cotton crop trousers.
Reason behind my redemption was because I adored the pastel combination and I loved the shirt for it's flowy polyester material. Nothing says simple than a straight comfortable cut. As for the cotton trousers, it was like snugging your legs into a soft cushion and let me tell you, the big pockets at the side made me love it even more.
With regards to the outfit, I decided to pair this pastel combo with a pair of nude heels from MOVF which I had received a few years back together with a metallic clutch from Dorothy Perkins previous collection.

I don't know about you but I absolutely adore metallic hues. I find that it gives a touch of glam to any outfit you wear. On the upside, this clutch could become a sling bag as well to give a more convenience touch just in case you didn't want to have the option of just carrying around.

Now let's move on to the high heels shall we? Now as you know I love simple things and I find that less is always more when putting together the right outfit.
The same can be said when it come to my choice of high heels. I often opt for single tones with a sturdy heel for I find that it can mix and match any of my outfits perfectly. A modest heel would be important as well to get around to your daily routines, hence for this look I chose a pair of nude 2inch heels from MOVF to go together with my sky blue cropped trousers.
I find that the best way to ensure that these two combinations flatters your figure is to loosely tuck in the flowy material of the shirt into the pair of cotton trousers.
Somehow this gives a very defined look to your silhouette, not to mention it shows of the design of both the top and the pants very well.
