Uber Kuala Lumpur Launched; Getting around KL in Style

Remember all those hellish jams, the scarcity of cabs along with those horrible drivers' etiquette that you get on the road after being honked a couple of times?

Well leave that all behind and enter Uber - your one stop premium service to your own private driver who will take you anywhere with ease.

Shall we take a ride madam?

Celebrating it's first launch in Malaysia on the 8th of January 2014, Uber  has an expanding list of over 65 cities in 25 countries that include London, Paris, Washington DC, Munich, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Syney, Singapore, Bangalore, Manila, Seol and Taipei.

Uber Co-Founder and CEO, Travis Kalanick

Uber co-founder and CEO, Travis Kalanick is a serial entrepreneur with over a decade of experience building successful startups. Mr. Travis Kalanick and StumbleUpon Founder, Mr. Garrett Camp, initially came up with the idea of Uber during the 2008 LeWeb Conference in Paris, where taxis are notoriously unreliable.

Now don't be mistaken - this is no ordinary cabby; this is a one of a kind luxury service that partners with high end limousine companies in Kuala Lumpur for an added "Safety, Comfort and Stylish" experience. Now in Kuala Lumpur, Uber wants to bring world-class transportation solutions to world-class cities.

  • Every single ride is tracked via GPS so Uber will know the location of the rider and driver at all times.

  • When a rider orders a car, they will receive the driver and vehicle information immediately and watch real time on the map as to where the Uber car is and how long it will take for the pick-up.

  • Uber works with professional limo companies that provide chauffeaur services to the top hotels and corporate executives in KL.

  • At the end of every ride, the client will be able to rate the driver and the driver will also be able to rate the rider. There is an inherent system of accountability on both sides built into the Uber app which makes things even more interesting.

So how do you use Uber?

Seeing that all you would need to get started is to locate it on your Play Store, click download into your Iphone or Android and register, Uber is pretty straightforward app to use.

Keeping in mind that Uber is a premium service, it doesn't follow your typical cash on destination ministration.

Instead upon registration, the app will prompt you on your credit deets so that when you take a ride with Uber, you will have no need to take out your wallet and count the cash to pass to the driver. This is convenient for those of you who do not enjoy carrying a lot of money when they are out and about.

So why pick Uber over a taxi booking app like MyTeksi? Simple - the premium service.

Now even though MyTaxi does indeed connect you with cabbies around Kuala Lumpur, Uber connects it's users with it's drivers and limo companies as well as topping it off with a one of a kind, high quality service.
