As the Festival of Lights draws close, a new makeup brand has stole our fancy with it's vibrant colors, pigmented shades and shimmery hues. Taking the play of colors to a whole new level, we braced ourselves for the uprising line called Bollywood Professional.
The array of cosmetics at the launch of Bollywood Professional |
With glitz, glamour and beauty in mind, Bollywood Professional revolved their line around a luxuriously superior and vibrant makeup range which are perfect for producing the absolute picture-perfect Bollywood Superstars.
Hence in preparation for their first Malaysian launch at Muse by Watsons, Sunway Pyramid, the store was completely transformed to suit a Bollywood theme, with beautiful arrays of mirrors and makeup, a burst of color of red balloons and friendly makeup artists who were more than willing to assist you in any way that they could.
The Liquid Lipstick |
Eight out of the twelve shades |
One product that caught our eye was Bollywood Professional's latest edition; the Liquid Lipstick. Retailing at RM92 per piece, these lipsticks come in 12 stunning colors namely in Code Red, Pumpkin Spice, Electric Pink, Electric Taffy, Electric Coral, Wild Orchid, Mink Pink, Brown Sugar, Razz Dance, Cherry Bomb, Just Bitten and Uncorked.
Lights Tones:
- Code Red
- Pumpkin Spice
- Electric Pink
- Electric Taffy
Medium Tones:
-Electric Coral
-Wild Orchid
-Mink Pink
-Brown Sugar
Dark Tones:
-Razz Dance
- Cherry Bomb
- Just Bitten
- Uncorked
These shades were quite a focal point as the hues were extremely intense and gave full coverage to the lips. It simply took one swipe to don your whole look; and your lips would be made just like that. Personally I give this product two thumbs up for not only is it non-sticky and long lasting aspect but the colors also caters well to olive/tan/dark skin tones.
Mineral Eyez Shimmers |
As I am also a sucker for shimmers and pigments, my eyes immediately went to the Mineral Eyez Shimmers as well. These little pots of color came in 10 beautiful shades with lush jewel tones embellishing a bold shimmering finish with incredible shine. Try not to confuse them 'The Glitz' though as the packaging is quite similar but rest assured that they are two completely different products.
Shades Available:1. Emerald City2.Gothic Gold3. Blue Jean4. Burgandy Boom5. Copper Tone6. Cotton Candy7. Amethyst Aura8. Avocado9. Bell Bottom Blue10. Berry Bronze
With the founder of Bollywood Professional; Rani Birring |
Seeing that this brand hails all the way from New York, we were able to meet Bollywood Professional's founder Rani Birring and were also given a first hand try to sample Bollywood Professional's line at Muse by Watsons.
Stationed at each of the six counters was a friendly professional makeup artist; two to work on the face, another two for the eyes and last but not least, two more to work on the lips . It was a great experience that we got to enjoy and I have to say a big heartfelt thank you goes out to Muse by Watsons, Bollywood Professional and to the one and only The Butterfly Project for this.
