London Jewellery Designer Durrah Khalil Launches Debut Collection in Kuala Lumpur

Revisiting modern elegance, luxury label Durrah launched it's debut jewelry collection of stunning pieces last week. Classically designed with a touch of elegance, this unique array is suitable for both daily and special occasion wear.

The Autumn Ring at RM 632

Having Durrah made available at Grimoldi Milano at Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur, the collections feature classical elements with prices ranging from RM265 to RM3000.

1) Spring: 

Bracelets in Black Silk with magnetic clasps featuring a gold plated silver coil in either yellow or rose gold, or black rhodium plate.


2) Pebble:

 Simple organic pebble like shapes fashioned into earrings and elegant long necklaces in silver,yellow and rose gold and black rhodium-plated sterling silver.


3) Chains:

Necklace, bracelets and earrings all feature chains and links of different sizes and textures. The bracelet is of sterling silver in four finishes and is made of fine multi chains and a larger chain with toggle fastening.


4) Snake:

One bangle design in four finishes. The snakeskin print is embossed into the rose gold-plated sterling silver bangle, resulting in a pleasingly textured look and feel.


5) Disco:

These pieces are inspired by mirrored balls and feature delicate sterling silver beads. Each necklace has three strands measuring approximately 18 inches and can be worn in multiples for a more statement layered look.

Having their items carefully produced in Italy yet designed in Durrah's London studio, the brand's creative director and London Jewelry Designer Durrah Khalil was inspired by her mother's fine jewelry collection which then gained her appreciation of semi-precious and for-precious gemstones from an early age.


"I always found myself looking at pieces from fine jewelers with an exceptionally high price tag, or at costume jewelry, which was seasonal. I wanted to create something that was luxurious yet easy on the pocket" said the designer.

Since then, Ms. Khalil has worked at some of the world's most prestigious jewelry houses including Mouawad and Tiffany and Co.


With her designs having a ready to wear classic appearance of modern edginess, each eye-catching piece is equally matched with high quality craftsmanship that incorporates sterling silver, gold, precious and semi precious stones into it's one of a kind designs.
