Lapureté Wakame Review

Lapureté Wakame Range

Having heard of Lapureté about three years ago, this Aussie brand has since then become one of the fastest growing anti-ageing skincare brands in the market.

By using natural ingredients, it's description states to protect the skin and repair the appearance of aging; although without the assist of trying it out, who would know right?

The three products within the range

Having launched it's products in the Malaysian market recently, the range that we have here is one out of the two (Okuru and Wakame). The name Wakame derives from an ancient "Japanese Beauty Preserver" that gives focus on tackling the first signs of aging for users aged 20+ and eary 30s.

Wakame which is the key ingredient of this range) is a type of seaweed which is known for their ability to survive in their harsh environment by producing a powerful substance called fucoidan. They are full of antioxidants like Zinc, Calcium, Iodine, Iron, Omega 3 essential fatty acids, and Vitamins A, B1, B2, B12 and C.

Key Benefits:

Reduces the first signs of aging.

Captures the protective benefits to maintain the youthful appearance of skin by protecting its building blocks and enhancing dermal condition.

Includes rich ingredients to make the skin feel refreshed and younger.

Wakame Hydrating Foam Cleanser and Toner

Step 1: Hydrating Foam Cleanser and Toner

Now the first step to this conditioning is the Wakame self-foaming cleanser which removes dirt and impurities, while whisking away facial and eye make-up at the same time. It also is rather hydrating and toning to the skin.

However seeing as this is a foam cleanser, make sure to build up the bubbles first on the palm of your hand before applying it to your face. Best to gently lather it on for 30 seconds as your skin may get a little dry if the product is left on your face for too long.

Wakame Multi Active Eye Repair

Step 2: Wakame Multi Active Eye Repair

As for the second step in the routine, Lapureté introduces it's Multi-Active Eye Repair which works to refresh, renew and protect the delicate eye area, targeting wrinkles, under eye bags and dark circles. Using naturally derived ingredients, Lapureté s Wakame Multi-Active Eye Repair has been clinically proven to yield results after only 4 weeks.

However after testing out the product for two weeks, there was already quite a difference on the eye area in terms of puffiness and the best way to really get more out of the product is to use it throughout the day to brighten and refresh the eye area.

Wakame Protect and Repair Lotion

Step 3: Wakame Protect and Repair Lotion

For the final step of the regime, this super light lotion from the Wakame range protects the skin from UVA damage, dryness, irritation, evens up skin tone and reduces the appearance of the first signs of ageing.

To be completely honest though, the product did not do that much on a personal note in terms of the reducing the appearance of wrinkles but it does serve as a great antioxidant protection against damage caused by UVA radiation. The skin also did look more firmer after three weeks.

Overall thoughts

Keeping in mind that all three products within this Wakame range works wonderfully with dry skin, it's also best to know that this starter pack retails for a hefty tag of RM159.00 at TNS Skinlab. However from what is known there is no downside or side effects to the products so it's always best to give it a go to know the final result it will have on your skin.

Nonetheless if you would like to find out more, head on over to TNS Skinlab's Official Website or their Facebook Page for further information.
