On one of Laura Mercier's Best Sellers |
Having used the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder for more than 2 years now, I can safely say that this is one of my favorite go-to setting powders that I have ever had the pleasure of encountering.
This might come off sounding a little bias I know, but having dealt with many setting powders in the past that often leave a white cast on the face (especially in photographs), it is quite a relief to see one that works so well, not only on camera but also in person.
On The Usage
On Application |
Being one of the more sought after beauty products at Sephora and Kens Apothecary, you can often see this product being a little limited on shelves (only 2-3 units would be left before restock), and understandably so because many of its users appreciate its no-flashback formula that creates a soft-focus effect to subtly blur out the look of fine lines and imperfections whenever visuals are taken.
29g in a tub |
The product within |
Retailing at RM189 for a 29g tub, you get a decent amount of product within that can last you for about a year if used daily. The only thing which I wished that the Translucent Loose Setting Powder came with was its Velour Puff which can be purchased separately at its boutiques, Sephora or Kens stores and counters.
On the areas to apply |
Swatched the consistency at the back of the hand |
Best used over foundation and concealer, there are several ways of applying this on the face, but over time, I personally found that dabbing the product in with a damp beauty blender always works the best for it sets the foundation down matte with a touch of sheer coverage, filling in all the areas that you might have missed. It also doesn't cake and is completely oil free, which is a thumbs up in my book any day as well.
The Finish |
On overall, I absolutely adore this product and it is certainly one of the best releases that I have had the pleasure of discovering from Laura Mercier. Its weightless formula is completely spot on and blends wonderfully, plus because it is truly translucent, the shade works on all skin tones, from the fairest to the deepest.
In the meantime, for more details on the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder, you can head over to KENS Apothecary official website or follow the brand on their Facebook Page too.
