L'Oreal Paris MatteAbout You Finale

Mat Magique #matteaboutyou

It has been no secret how much I genuine loved the Mat Magique All In One Matte Transforming Powder and as you can most probably see on my Instagram or even on my blog; which I have posted about it here, my raves about the product goes more than just leaps and bounds.

Full Foundation Base by L'Oreal Mat Magique

I think everything just works with a stroke of luck and great support because I honestly do not know how I was blessed with such love, first with finding a product that works extremely well for me or being notified as one of the top 10 finalists in the #matteaboutyou competition that has garnered more than 17,000 likes in one post and has channeled more than 8,000 entries nationwide.

Of course before even submitting an entry for the competition, I was a little intimidated as you can probably imagine. Okay strike that. I was extremely intimidated. After all, 8,000 over entries is well...a lot. But believing in a product when it actually works is extremely important to me so I thought that it would be only fair to spread my love about it to others and do a full and honest post about it.

L'Oreal Paris Matte About You Top 10

Getting the notification as a finalist was exhilarating because I really did not expect it; after all it was mixed in with 8,000 great entries but as the finale has finally come to an end, I am pretty sure that many of you are wondering what actually went down during the event.

Pattern love anyone?

As I would like to keep things simple and not go on in long lengthy notes, an itinerary was given to each of us where we were split into two groups of five, an hour allocated for each in order to do our tasks.

We were given 10 minutes to pick our outfits and suit up along with a take-home bag consisting of four L'Oreal items; which was given to us to do our 30 minute makeup prep. However, just in case that wasn't sufficient enough; L'Oreal also ensured that three makeup organizers were also available to cater to our needs.

Full Look

As it was the print pattern season in Paris, I decided to go with a beautiful chiffon jumpsuit that had gorgeous ornate flowers detailing decorated from the top to the bottom. The design was immaculate, with a beautifully designed V-neck front and a delicate bareback drop. It was not that glittery but in it's way it was a statement of matte and color which suited perfectly to the occasion. So technically in other words, it was love at first sight.

Matte Makeup Look

Makeup wise, I kept the look simple; using a generous amount of the Mat Magique Powder in shade G2 Golden Ivory as my base, a beautiful L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Eyeshadow Quad palette in the color Eau de Rose, along with a lovely shade of L'Oreal's Color Riche Moist Matte Lipstick in Peachy Brown.

Of course for more details on the eye-makeup which you can have a closer look below would be L'Oreal's Super Liner Gelmatic Pen in Black along with L'Oreal's Voluminous Extra Volume Collagen Mascara.

Five hours after the finale had ended

Keep in mind that this look was taken five hours after the competition was over with no touch ups so the finish is not as smooth as when it was first applied. The lipstick has faded off as well but as you can see, the makeup base for the Mat Magique along with the eye makeup is still quite prominent. Amazing right?

Top Ten; Group 1
Top 10; Group 2

Overall the event was really quite fun, especially the part where we had 15 minutes to flag off and take our pictures. That took about a good 10 minutes where we later spent the last 5 minutes in the store conversing with one another and submitting our photos on Instagram.

I honestly could not have met more lovelier girls, all with such wonderful personalities and great characters. The whole event was a blast and if you are curious to know how to cast your votes (likes) you can do so via the link below. This competition is up to the 31st of August, so if you could spare a little time, do kindly render your lovely support *blush*
